We parked on the road near the fire station, walk down a path along the side of the cemetery and came to a rather natural beach. There was nobody else there and the reef itself was not that attractive. We were concerned about our belongings that we left on the beach, afraid that they might be pilfered while we were snorkelling. Later on, some shady looking characters showed up and we were afraid of being robbed in this isolated spot. It was actually a bit creepy to us and we left. We thought that taking a snorkelling boat trip to Stingray City was by far the better activity.

Before I went on my vacation, I had never been snorkeling before. I had a hard time at first, but I'm so glad I gave it another try. You HAVE to go to Cemetary Reef. We weren't sure how to find it and there aren't any signs. Just follow Seven Mile Beach north, and there's a cemetary on the left side of the road. You can't miss it. WOW! It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. The fish actually swim with you. A MUST DO on Grand Cayman!
