We were staying in the West Bay area and always drove past this cemetery, and it always had cars parked there. I had heard there was good snorkeling there, so we finally decided to stop and try the beach out. Please respect the graveyard and go to the right side of the cemetery, there is a path that will take you to the beach. I loved that there were shade trees here. This was our last day in the Cayman's, and some of us needed a respite from the sun.
My husband and son went snorkeling, but came back rather quickly after coming face to face with a barracuda! My kids walked down the beach to a rocky area with a tidal pool. They loved that spot and would have stayed forever had my 9 yr old not had to go to the bathroom. Since there are none at the beach, we had to leave.
I highly recommend this beach. The water is clear and blue and has a nice sandy entry. Also finding crabs a little down the way (about 100 yards) had my kids thoroughly entertained. There is something for everyone here.
