“Perfect Vacation Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

This was a wonderful place to stay. Our condo was beautiful, with a nice kitchen, an outdoor grill, and lots of space. The condo isn't in the center of it all. This can be really nice, but you will need to rent a car. It is rather close to stuff by car or bike. We had a perfect stay for our baby-moon. I would recommend this resort to everyone. The beach is a rocky one which is perfect for snorkeling or scuba off the dock, but we went to the islands many other beaches (Cemetery beach was our favorite) for snorkeling and beach play often. The owners of the resort checked in often to ensure you were having a premium experience, to provide advice and make any arrangements you might need. Our only complaint would be the early morning wake-up calls from the charming roosters that roam the islands. That is just part of the island experience. I would recommend a stay here to anyone going to the Caribbean.

Room Tip: We had a garden side condo and LOVED it! We purchased through a family members time share club so th...

Dear Hannah, Thanks for your kind words and I do appreciate your comments about our location, as we are situated along the North shore of Grand Cayman about 10 to 15 minutes by car from the busier areas along the strip. Good to note that you enjoyed the snorkeling around the island as there are many spot to snorkel at. Our clear ocean waters are a result of good water and discharge management added to the fact that there is little water run of from storms because we are on such a flat island. Happy to see you had a good time. Love to have you come back to stay with us again. Arie

Just finished 9 days at Cobalt Coast with the meal plan during Focus Underwater 2013. The hospitality is warm and friendly. Aire and Dora know each guest and attend to any special requests quickly. The food is always great with a lot of attention to detail (if lionfish ceviche is available, get it!). I love their lunches! The rooms are comfortable, large, well maintained, and properly equipped for divers. This is my favorite place for a dive vacation with my daughter. I generally don't drink and dive, but at the end of our week, Colin knows how to mix a great cocktail or pour a perfect beer at Duper's.

Room Tip: Divetech is on site with storage lockers for your gear. Free internet is great but often slow. Favor...

Dear Daniel, Thank you so much for your kind comments about your dive trip with your daughter. We appear to be the perfect place for families, and Spring break kind of proofs that when we have many Mom’s and Dad’s with their offspring diving together. And we certainly appreciate your comments about our food and service. After all, without a decent restaurant it would just be a motel, and that’s no fun. I trust you will keep us on your list and we look forward to see you both again, maybe next year? Arie

This was probably the 4th or 5th time I've stayed there. As dive resorts go, this is a good one. It starts with Arie, the owner. He is one of the most accommodating human beings I've ever met. As an example, we left for the airport at 5:30 this morning. He called our room the night before and offered to make breakfast for us! We thankfully declined, but he said "I'll see you off anyway" which he did. Met us in the lobby and took our bag to the car. Dora is equally service minded.

Rooms are well designed, if a bit spartan. We prefer the garden villas, which were sold out this week. Full kitchen, more privacy, washer and dryer to was your wet suit, etc in the villas, but not main building rooms.

Dive tech is the on site dive operation. Well run and organized. Competent, safe dive masters and boat operation. There is some variability among their dive masters in that some are more committed to your diving than others. Christian, Anton, and Emma are excellent. The others could work on it, in my opinion. Still, good operation we always use in Grand Cayman.

Dear Kevin, You we know we love it when you come back for more and we appreciate being mentioned. Happy to hear that we are your dive address for when you travel to the Cayman Islands. The goal is to compliment what's already here, beautiful weather most of the time, lots of marine life, many mooring balls to choose from when diving from the boat and then the shore diving, right in front of your suite from our 100 ft. long dock. Looking forward to see you again next year. Arie

The resort is excellent, very personal and friendly. The staff is outstanding. I'm a picky eater and the food is superb and they really catered for my garlic allergy. DiveTech, the on site dive operator is also top class. All the dive masters are extremely knowable, friendly and helpful with the rented dive gear, Steve, Anton, Ragiem, Helen, Sam just to mention a few. Our son was certified this week and Cathy did a very good job getting hi though his training. And after his certification all the staff made sure he was safe. I've been on live aboard's and a few special dive resorts and I'd rate the whole holiday 10 out of 10. Thanks

Dear Paul, It was great to host your family dive vacation. We hardly got to see you because all the time you spent under water, with camera and all. Your son will remember Cayman as he got certified with us. You experienced Divetech’s staff, all dive instructors, committed to the industry and always eager to share their experiences, while watching out for your safety. Thank you so much for your rating, makes me feel a little bit like Bo Derek. Arie

We took our kids, now certified to dive, because 20 years ago we loved diving with the stingrays, We got a 4 nite dive package, that included 3 days diving, airport transfers and meals. Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted at the door by Ari and his friendly staff. Our 2nd floor 2 bedroom suite was clean and spacious. All our meals were delicious. Divetech operates right there beside the pool. We rented bcd and regulators (scubapro) and dive computers were provided for free. Shore diving off the pier right there at the resort was free, just grab a tank walk to the end of the pier and climb into the beautiful water. The reef is right there. Lockers are also provided so need to lug your equipment to your room. We loved our stay here, we will be coming back!

Dear guest, Is it true that stingrays remember you, even after 20 years? It had to be a thrill for you and your wife to be back, this time with your kids and spend time together diving and visiting Cayman again after all that time. When we built Cobalt Coast, the idea was to make it effortless for divers to ply their sport, all you need is close by and within a few steps walking. Thanks for your kind comments. I trust you will keep us on your list, maybe next year? Arie

Dear Joel, Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay with us. Sound like all was as expected, but darned that WIFI took the week off. Actually, the telephone company workers spent more than 30 hours over a period of 3 days fixing the cable as it turned out to be a break in an underground cable. We realize how important it is to "stay connected" and I do apologize for this inconvenience. Arie

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Cobalt Coast in October, 2012. The owner was always available for any request, and sat and had coffee with us and gave us excellent info on what to do while on the island. We had a garden cottage and it was wonderful.
