What can we say, the Turtle Nest Inn was the best vacation ever. We found the Turtle Nest Inn on Trip Advisor and it was better than we expected. My husband and I have traveled throughout the Carribean and this was by far our best vacation, we are planning on going back for 10 days next May.

When we arrived at the Turtle Nest Inn, Donna was at the front desk and she couldn't have been nicer. We asked both Donna and John all kinds of questions and they were always ready with an answer and a smile.

Our car came with our room and it was great to have one to explore the island. There is so much to see and do. You have to go swim with the Sting Rays. Book a trip with Dexter's Fantasea tour. You'll take a trip out to Sting Ray City to swim with the rays with Dexter. He's a local and knows everything about the rays. This isn't a booze cruise, you will motor out on his catamaran and sail back in. You also stop at a reef to snorkle. Definately bring your underwater camera. You'll get to hold a ray and have your picture taken. It was the highlight of our trip and we'll definately do it again next year. Try to book it on a Sat or Sun though, when the cruise ships aren't in port.

Our apartment, #8 was perfect. It had an open concept living, dining and kitchen area, with 2 walls of windows which looked directly out to the beach and ocen, it was perfect. We had a balcony out front which was great to have your coffee in the morning and listen to the waves. We had a full kitchen, which we used everyday and it had everything we needed. We shopped at the local grocery stores, be prepared for it to be a bit expensive, but its cheaper than eating out every day. There is a grill by the pool and we used it frequently. Bring your own liquor if you can, its expensive to purchase on the island.

The cleaning service was excellent. I would do the dishes in the morning and would come back to having them put away and the kitchen was spotless. We never needed a thing. The apartment was always clean.

The pool and beach at the Turtle Nest Inn was perfect. We went snorkeling our first day and we saw more fish than you can imagine. My husband swam with the baracuda out front. We have the pictures, it was very friendly and curious. It would swim along side my husband and then stop and look at him and then swim along. Don't expect a beach where you are going to jump right in the water and swim, it has a reef, but it was some of the best snorkeling we have ever encountered.

Another spot for snorkeling is Smith's Cove, we found this on our last day, it is a must do.

Dinner out was a bit pricey, but we had some great meals at the Reef Grill at the Royal Palms and the Post, it is a great Italian restaurant, both can be found on Seven Mile beach. We found the best place for dessert, the Artica Gelato shop just off of Seven Mile beach. Bring a cooler from your room and bring some back with you to the apartment, put it in the blender with some rum and juice, it makes a great smoothie.

All in all, a very successful trip. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small, out of the way place, with exceptional service and accomodations.

We visited the Turtle Nest Inn again, this year, after a five year absence. Despite Hurricane Ivan's devastating effect on many parts of Grand Cayman, the Turtle Nest Inn remains a haven of peace and tranquility, all wrapped up in a genuine desire to serve and ensure that comfort is paramount. An informal atmosphere belies a cool efficiency and careful attention to cleanliness, the guests privacy and enjoyment of the wonderful beach, snorkelling and other facilities. Another wonderful visit. Thank you.

The TNI is a fantastic place; it was like being at home away from home. The location is perfect, if you are looking for a peaceful and calm place to stay. Otherwise stay at the 7 mile beach.
The staff is very professional and polite, the apartment was spotless with wonderful views. I can not wait to go back!!
Thank you TNI for a wondeful vacation! You guys are top notch, congratulations.

My fiance and I stayed at the TNI from June 13th-17th in the beachfront apartment #7 and boy did we enjoy the view! It was just gorgeous to hear and see the ocean from every room in the apartment. We made use of the kitchen every morning and a few dinners as well. Snorkeling is superb there! We did do a half day excursion with Captain Marvins but the snorkeling out at the coral gardens was nowhere close to the one at the Inn's backyard! Im not a strong swimmer at all so I wore a snorkel vest everytime we went out to see the fishies... but there wasn't much of a strong current so a vest wasn't that necessary. We loved Rankins Jerk down the street! You have to try the chicken jerk! also, about 5 properties east of TNI you will find a delighful little restaurant called Seaside which has a deck for you to dine on with the view of the ocean. Its alsoBYOB so u can bring all sorts of drinks with you! I had the fish sandwich was DELICIOUS. We really enjoyed the peacefulness and privacy of TNI very much. 7 mile beach was too busy and full of tourism which made us feel ten times better about our decision to stay with TNI. The car got us all around the island too! Everything is in close proximity! You can go from Rum Point to West Bay in 30 mins! You really cannot go wrong with TNI, we will def come back and stay here again! Everyone there were sweethearts! We saw John almost everyday and he was always fun to talk to! :) Gosh, I wish I was still there....

Dont tell anybody about this place because they are already booked most of the time. We stayed a week and wished we'd made arrangements to stay longer. Staff is great and the rooms have everything you need to cook and relax. The restaurants on the island are expensive so hit the grocery store after you land and cook in your room. The stores have pretty much everything you would get in the states. My wife loved the Pina Colada's the TNI served. You're the best Donna! They have DVD's to watch and the pool is very relaxing. Driving on the left side, British style, was crazy at first but you get the hang of it. The Mrs. and I are already considering when we can go back. Oh yeah, free wifi was great to have in the room as well. John's the man when it comes to getting you what you need too. You won't be disappointed unless you prefer crowds like the ones from the cruise ships that come into Georgetown each day.
