I booked my husband and I with Moby Dick tours after reading some reviews (Nov 2005). It was a great tour. They made it very interesting an we had a great time. I am planning to take my grandchildren this Dec. 2006 and most likely will use Moby Dick tours again.

Captain Marvin's was great. I booked the snorkel and stingray city tour with them for our group of 13. They told me everything I needed to know over the phone and gave me directions from the cruise ship pier to their office. It was a short walk and easy to find. Everything was exactly like they said it would be. Our guide was excellent and it was definitely worth the $34 per person we paid for the trip. We all agreed that it was a great tour and would do it again.

We had a similar experience like some of the other reviewers. We did some research online and found them to offer the best price for the Stingray City tour. Stingray City is just a sandbar quite far out into the ocean away from the island so the water is very shallow there (2-3 feet depending on the waves) and the stingrays like to hang out there when they smell food (squid). They gave us an informative introduction to stingrays (what to do and what not to do) on our way to the spot. The other cruise tours with larger boats and more people were already at Stingray City when we got there, so we snorkled off to the side for a few minutes to wait for the crowds to leave. One of them snorkeled with us to help us find sea life and they found a Moray eel for us. They tried to give us plenty of time with the stingrays and made sure we all had a chance to feed and hold the rays as much as possible. We had a great experience with Moby Dick Tours and would highly recommend them!

I highly reccomend Stingray City. It was one of the most exciting excursions that I have ever done. I was very scared about doing this as I heard they suck on your arms and legs and leave hickeys. That is not true. Being in the water with these sea creatures was absolutely an experience that I will will not forget. You must do this before you leave Grand Cayman or you will have to visit again. Then again you will want to visit again as it is a gorgeous island.
