“Few Menu Choices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

We've eaten here twice, because we don't have anywhere else to go. Nice people behind the counter. Try to pick something they heat up. It's edible.

“Best kept secret at the airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

We did our due diligence and got to the airport 2.5 hours before departure. After checking in and going through security, American Airlines announced they cancelled our flight, with the next flight being 6 hours later. Fortunately, the lady at the ticket counter suggested we go upstairs to the Hungry Horse (the $30 voucher was a nice gesture too but didn't compensate for the cancelled flight). It was a hot, stickly day but there was plenty of room in the air conditioned part of the restaurant. We spent the next 4 hours inside, ate the lunch special - an awesome conch chowder and enjoyed the friendly hospitality of the folks working there. If it weren't for this place, we would have had a miserable wait.

“Better then spending time in the departure area.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

This was a good choice for us after we checked our bags at Grand Cayman airport and still had a lot of time before our flight. Instead of going through security, go upstairs to the restaurant. They have different specials every day and I had the daily special, which was a turkey club. Our family also had caesar salads with chicken and a veggie burger. All were good. Prices are what you would expect for Cayman.

Once you go through security there are basically no options. If there are multiple flights going out you will be lucky to even get a seat. So, I wouldn't want to spend any more time there than I had to.

“Convenient airport restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

We had a long layover between flights and spent most of our time at the Hungry Horse. It is conveniently located above the main terminal of the airport. It has free wifi available as well. The food was good, but we were grateful for the long layover because it was very slow. Friendly servers.

“Typical airport fare”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

This is a comfortable place to relax between or before flights, upstairs above the main airport, beneath the dramatic A-frame which characterizes the airport. There’s an area inside, as well as an outdoor area with tables in the sun or in the shade, all with casual self-seating and a pleasant breeze. The service is attentive and friendly, but not as quick as needed for those with urgent flights to catch.

The menu is limited, mostly burgers and fries. The small, personal pizzas are just that—small and meant for one person. Food was just okay.
