“Picture perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

One of the more 'populated' beaches on the island, Loblolly is still (thankfully) pretty deserted by Caribbean standards.

When we first arrived at Loblolly, it was raining; However, once the sun came out, it lived up to its beautiful reputation. Had a nice meal at the Big Bamboo, followed by an entire day of rest and relaxation.
The Atlantic is more like a lagoon here, as its waves are broken by the surrounding reef. Not only does this provide calm waters in which to snorkel, but also a great opportunity to comb the pristine white beaches for pretty shells and discarded coral.

A perfect place to spend some quality time away from civilisation...stress relief 100% guaranteed :)

“Best snorkeling to be found”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

If you are an avid snorkeler you'll LOVE it here. The reef can reach all the way up to the shore in places with the reef fish being found in less than knee deep water. As you make progress all the way out towards the breakers, you'll begin to find some breathtaking snorkeling areas. Be adventurous and find those "green spots" within the coral reef and you'll be surrounded with beauty.

“beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

We drove from the harbor to the beach. It was about a 20 minute drive. We parked at the Big Bamboo cafe, had lunch and then headed out to the beach, just steps from the cafe. The beach was clean, white sand, a few palm umbrellas and benches and plenty of space to spread out a towel. The water was crystal clear with lots of reefs to explore. The cafe has restrooms and showers, and hammocks and chairs in the shade to relax. It was great!

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Almost deserted beach which you can walk along for miles. Water is crystal clear and gently slopes off. Not that good for snorkelling compared to other places we have visited such as the Maldives but the beach is beautiful

“Most beautiful beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Tis is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. On my visit, the currents in the best snorkeling area made it nearly impossible to safely snorkel, the visit to this lovely area was worth the time. The Big Bamboo bar provides a lively setting for enjoying this coral island beach.
