What a wonderful trip.....we were there for our honeymoon. This is a great place for a honeymoon if you are looking for seclusion. The resort is located on a section of Virgin Gorda that is only accessible by boat or helicopter which means you hear nothing but the waves crashing or the occasional golf cart. While this is a very relaxed resort, there is a certain elegance to everything they do. The staff members are phenomonal and so easy to get to know. Rik is the manager and always makes an effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. It is kind of buggy but the staff do a really good job making sure that there is OFF bug spray in all locations. The food is so good - we have been back home three weeks and I can't stop thinking about it! Every night we had dinner in the hill top restaurant while watching the sun set. We cannot wait to go back!

I stayed at Biras for 9 days and enjoyed every single one. The staff was warm -from the gardeners to maintenance, housekeeping to management. The food was excellent. Dinners were especially impressive, world class I'd say. The setting was exquisite- surrounded by lush green hills, crashing Atlantic waves, and calm clear carribbean sea. Hiking trails stretch to the very tops of the hills that border the resort on both sides (bring a camera) while garden trails meander under a canopy of trees ,with heavenly scented flowers, in-between. I would recommend the mountain trails at sunrise and sunset. The pool provided a nice cool down in the warm afternoons. The beach has several hammocks tied between palm trees, which i found to be the perfect reading spot. It also offers water sport equip. and instructors. It is a peaceful place, perfect for couples or anyone who appreciates a tranquil, quiet setting, but with the right amount of activity/activities. Also make an appointment with Monju ,the masseuse, she gives the perfect massage.

Biras Creek has amazing rooms and staff. The food was extremely good. Lots of extremely fresh fish and fruit, but other great foods as well for the non fish eater. The food is absolutely amazing. Definitely a nicer hotel than the neighboring Bitter End Yacht Club. The staff was extremely helpful and the complimentary snorkel trips were lots of fun. It was pretty expensive, but it was one of the nicest hotels that i have ever stayed at. The beach activities were lots of fun, but the beach can get a little windy. Though all the food is included, none of the drinks (even nonalcoholic ones) are included. This resort truly excelled in every way, i would love to go back some time. More spread out and secluded than Little Dix and so it may not be perfect for someone with limited mobility, but this place is perfect for active groups.

My husband and I just recently returned from Biras Creek after 8 wonderul days...well almost all wonderful. Unfortunately my husband's appendix decided to rupture during our stay. I can't pay the staff at Biras enough compliments. They jumped through every hoop possible to make this scary expereince tolerable. Rik, the general manager, arranged for private taxi's, ferry travel, etc. Everyone expressed so much concern for my husband's recovery and for myself. I am planning to return next summer with our son and daughter-in-law. I loved the spa, food, beaches, snorkeling, etc. The best part of the Biras Creek experience is the staff!!

We have visited the British Virgin Islands on numerous occasions since 1995, mainly staying on Tortola. This summer we added 5 days at Biras Creek resort. What a great choice!
Biras is located in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda. One gets there by boat or helicopter.
The hotel runs its own ferry service from Trellis Bay on Tortola, immediately adjacent to the Beef Island Airport, so getting to Biras is easy, and worth the added distance.

This is an all- inclusive resort, 3 meals/day, full use of motorized dinghies, sailboats.
They have in effect, 3 sea-views, one includes a private tropical beach.
The staff are mostly longtime employees, and they genuinely seem to enjoy pampering their guests, a huge difference from the standard major hotel chain 4 or 5 star experience. The food and view from the hilltop dining room is exceptional and dreamy.
We had the seaside pool almost to ourselves. There are hiking trails throughout the hotel's natural preserve, and bikes are provided for guests to get around the property. The rooms are very comfortable, good size, and private. Most have direct or indirect sea views. Lovely. If you want to be active, or simply relax and chill, this is a great choice.

We had one negative incident related to the ferry, but the manager absolutely took care of us with a nice room upgrade. We did not have to request it. This place is a little slice of heaven - old-time guest service, unrushed, great dining and wine list. It is pricey as expected, but frankly the July off-season cost, when one considers the meals, amenities, service and warm breezy sunny weather, represents great value.

We will return!

My husband and I live in St. Thomas so the trip to Biras was a short one for us. A 50 min. ferry ride, 10 min on taxi and then the Biras boat to pick us up. couldn't have been easier or run more smoothly. First of all, you can only get to the resort by boat or Helicopter and it's very remote (which we loved). We stayed in the suite with the plunge pool (1 of 2) and we highly recommend that room. They have horses on site, tennis courts, a spa and a main pool that is gorgeous (though we used only our pool at the room). The staff was amazing and couldn't do enough plus they were just so nice, made sure our taxi was called for when we visited Little Dix Bay one day for lunch, set up the Boston Whaler we took out to visit the Bitter end, walked a phone call to our table at dinner that had been transferred from the front desk (who saw us walking to dinner and knew exactly where we were) and it went on and on. There are only 31 rooms at the resort and their happened to be only 20 total guest this weekend so it was very private and relaxing. This is the resort to go to if you need piece and quiet, love to just sit in the sun and read, or go hiking (they have 5 great, some difficult and long, some not so much). You won't be disappointing. We had always heard fabulous things about this resort and we were lucky enough to finally get there.

The advert for this chain of islands say "The carribeans best kept secret" and they aren't kidding!!!
The most unspoilt scenic & people friendly part of the carribean
I would recomment the Biras creek resort on virgin gorda for "Honeymoon couples" .Even couples who are looking for something completely different.
It takes you far away from the madding crowd and allows you complete escapism!! .Bikes are supplied with your cottage to roam the 160 acre site......you also get to try various water sports
We explored 4 of the surrounding islands including st thomas the american owned island,i had stayed there 6 years ago
I thoroughly recommend this resort if you like adventure, peace & quiet, exclusivity
