I'm craving the little spoons that have been plated with amazing calamari or fish. There are so many wonderful choices. The grill is open to prepare a wonderful stir fry. You choose you vegetables from a wide array. Then move to the super hot grill where your concoction is poured into a sizzling hot pan. Choose your sauces and main item of shrimp, beef, etc.
Another chef prepares a cold combination of wonderful beef or shrimp with cold items. Prepare for an incredible foodie experience. You are surrounded by enticing food.
Our stay did not include the Lobster Festival , but this evening made up for that.
The barbecue buffet is equally as good. The rib meat falls off the bone. We appreciated the great heat the chef was grilling in. The grill is built in, large and VERY hot!
The buffet nights at Little Dix Bay always include a dessert table with small wonders to complete your dining experience. We appreciated the small servings as that allowed for tastes of several different items. Both buffet nights had different desserts.
Even thought Little Dix Bay's web site encourages dressing for dinner and the Pavillion is more casual than the Sugar Mill, please refrain from dressing too casually. Tee shirts and flip flops just don't work here. The Staff works very hard and are always dressed immaculately. Please show them the respect they deserve and dress nicely.
Breakfast here is very good and very causal. The mahi mahi is excellent as is the french toast that comes with a melon salsa and a dolp of cream. It is a chunk of bread that is soaked over night and grilled. Hot syrup helps this melt in your mouth. Order from the menu and/or have a custom omelet made for you.
I told my husband I'd never cook again as I just couldn't live up to Little Dix Bay's standards!
