We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the ocean view from balcony of our room, the kindness of management and all personnel we encountered. On the Friday and Saturday nights we were there, the quiet was disrupted by very loud music. On Saturday, it ended by around 11 PM. This was an island event - a fundraiser for the spring festival around Easter. It was a street parade consisting of a truckbed with musicians and a loud vocalist. True, the amp must have been around 100,000 watts or so. Since it was so novel to us and ended reasonably early it was more ponderous than annoying. Friday's loud music originated from a club/restaurant in Spanish Town, we were told. It went very late, until approximately 2 AM and was annoying. To have one such experience in a week otherwise brightened with beauty beyond words and our ability to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go does not dismay us. The on-site restaurant serves very good food (we were less delighted with breakfast) and the cost of a meal is substantially less than most places on the island. I would recommend this to anyone who loves snorkeling and appreciates simplicity. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced.
