We visited Necker during a celebration week as part of our honeymoon celebrations in Sept 2005. We had only 3 days of sun which was no surprise to any of the staff who said the nearby Islands were still closed for the monsoon season, so we felt slightly duped. The rooms are very basic - not what you would expect for the price tag and were not even airconditioned. Whilst the Island is so, so, so beautiful I do feel you only pay for the priviledge of being on Necker, anywhere else you could get far more for your money. Also getting there is a nightmare, we chose to charter a plane on the way home so we were'nt waiting in Tortola for hours!
