My wife and I spent a week at Little Dix Bay in an ocean cottage. The staff were very friendly and the room was of a good size, very clean and well maintained. The beach is very pretty and was very quiet. We had an enjoyable stay but feel that the resort lacks the standards that can be enjoyed at other similarly priced resorts on other Caribbean islands. The food in the Pavillion restaurant was average and the staff whilst friendly need further training. I was served grouper at my table in its foil wrapper. The foil was upturned and the fish was allowed to fall onto the plate. The wine on several occasions was allowed to splash all over the table cloth when served. The serving and collection of plates was carried out incorrectly. Cutlery would be cleared before you had been served the main course! The Sugar Mill restarant was much better but not truly top class. Great effort was made with presentation but it lacked style. On two nights the Sugar Mill Restaurant was booked for private parties, forcing us to dine at the Pavillion. The menus in both restaurants was a little limited. Breakfasts were good. Staff were always attentive and friendly, they just appeared to need more training. The service on the beach was erratic. Some days you would be visited on four occasions, on other days you wouldn't see anyone. The gardens were wonderfully well maintained. We had a good stay but were glad that our second week was at Cap Juluca, on Anguilla
