We have been on many catamaran day trips but none as nice as this one. Emily was waiting at the end of the pier, as was Gilbo & the Aristocat (no taxi ride involved - nice). There were only 18 passengers and plenty of room for everyone - this is the way to go, for sure!
Once we were all aboard and after a safety briefing, we were off & the bar was open. They had beer, soda, water & rum punch in well stocked coolers, feel free to help yourself if Emily wasn't already there to serve you.
Had a beautiful sail to Norman island for the first snorkling stop and while we don't snorkle, we do love to be in the water, so we jumped right in and were not disappointed with the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. While we were floating around on our noodles, Emily came to the rescue with rum punch - what could be better than this? The snorklers saw a sand shark (or just "shark" as the kids yelled!) and lots of fish, everyone seemed happy with the underwater environment.
Next stop was the Indians for more snorkling and water fun! Lots of boats here and we had to circle waiting for someone to leave before getting a bouy where we could tie up, but we did and enjoyed this spot just as much. There seemed to be a stronger current here, but nothing dangerous, just needed to pay attention to where you were relative to the Aristocat.
We were also served a delicious lunch - isn't it funny how hungry you get being on the water (or is the cruise to blame?) - it was plentiful and had a variety of selection - something for everyone.
After the Indians, we had a lovely sail back to the pier and arrived in plenty of time to re-board the ship, never any worry about time.
Emily & Gilbo were great hosts and very knowledgable about sailing, the underwater creatures and the BVI's. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them on the Arisocat and would highly recommend this adventure whether you snorkle or not.
