“best beach on Tortola”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

beautiful stretch of sand, plenty of shade. snorkeling here almost as good as St John's. we saw schools of doctor/surgeon fish, and plenty of tangs, parrotfish, some banded and four eye butterfly flush, and some clowns (not memo colored) among a bunch of grunts and jacks. water is 12-20 feet deep, although shallower in places near the shore. easy to get to if you're used to Caribbean driving (i.e., no named roads, ruts and potholes). nowhere near as crowded as Cane Garden. as noted by others vendors selling drinks ($4-6 for beer/mixed drinks) and food (at least two grills going when we were there). and you can rent chairs/lounges.

“Beautiful Beach”

one of my favorite places on the island, very calm break, vendors are there on the weekends selling street food and drinks! sometimes a bit crowded so better to visit during the week

“Beautiful Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

A little tricky to find, but worth the search. There are vendors on the beach selling drinks and food. I had the best jerk chicken from one of the ladies on the beach. The swimming was beautiful.

“Beautiful beach, only fair snorkeling & very rough seas”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

Very easy drive from the cruise port (cheaper to rent a car than to take a cab and there are no busses) and a lovely long stretch of sand.
There were three vendors set up beyond the parking area selling pop, alcoholic beverages and even one doing BBQ.
We snorkeled the left side and also the middle of the beach per the reviews here, but it was very very very rough and also there was not really too much to see…some fish, but not an abundance by any means so don't expect too much... and at low tide it is difficult to swim out over the reef.
