Owner description: Regarded as one of the best shallow dives in the BVIs, these four rocky pinnacles rise and descend roughly the same fifty feet above and below the water surface, which form abundant coral gardens, a 15-foot tunnel, lots of fish and an underwater cavern.

“Pretty good snorkling, but get here early”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2011

There are only a few moorings (all of them are day moorings) so get your boat here early. People tend to take their time here. It's a super fast motor to The Bight, so if you are hear late, it's easy to get over there for a night anchor.

The snorkeling is good. The depth is just right at about 20 feet with nice coral and a sandy bottom. Easy to catch rays or the occasional nurse shark. We also saw a peacock flounder, which was cool.

Most snorkeling sites are either too shallow to get good ocean life or too deep to see (Rhone), so this is a nice mix.

“Popular scuba diving site”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2009

The Indians is a collection of four rock pinnacles which extend from a depth of about 50-60 feet to and above the surface of the water. On the deeper western side they are a popular scuba diving site. On the shallower eastern side they are a popular snorkelling site.

The Indians are probably the second most popular dive site in the BVI after the Wreck of the Rhone. It is a very sheltered and shallow site, and good for newer divers. However, because it has been heavily dived in recent years, there is perhaps less marine life to see than at other sites.
