“Spicy Continues to Stand Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

Olivier and Sophie have a gem on Grand Case Boulevard in Grand Case. The food is superb, the service personal. Seafood is delicious, as are the confit de canard and the filets (either with peppercorn sauce or rossini style). This is a must visit restaurant.

“Worth a Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011 via mobile

I have very good things to say about this Grand Case gem. The restaurant's ambience was sophisticated yet extremely cozy. The food was excellent. We tried the chicken marsala and filet mignon, both excellent. But what puts this restaurant over the top was Sophie. She was classy, gracious and extemely friendly. Nothing better than an attentive owner. I highly recommend.

“Doesn't Belong in Grand Case”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2011

Boy, I really don't like giving a not-so-good review, but this restaurant isn't good enough to be located in the culinary capitol of the Caribbean.

When we arrived at Spicy, the owner told us that she would allow our small service dog inside with us, but "most other places in Grand Case will not". We had heard otherwise and found out when we made reservations at other restaurants that this was not true at all. Our little dog was welcome everywhere else that we went!

Unfortunately, the food was bland as well. The French onion soup might as well have been watered down from a can. I'm not a chef, but my onion soup is so much more flavorful.

The rest of the meal was unremarkable.

With all of the great choices in Grand Case, I would not recommend wasting time and money at Spicy.

“Villa Spicey not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

Spicey is one of my favorite restaurants in Grand Case. Sophie is a delight. The food was delicious. I would describe it as French / Italien cuisine. It is located on the main Blvd. in Grand Case. It has a very nice atmosphere. They offer 1 for 1 dollar to euro if you pay cash. We got complimentary sparkling rose after dinner. A very reasonable alternative to some of the big $$$ places on restaurant row without giving up anything.

“I love the food and owners.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

Both of the owners are beautiful people who know the business. I think this is a hidden gem. If you are a foodie or foodist you will love this place.
