“Memorable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Family dinner of 8, all adults here on 7 March. The setting, food and service were excellent. One end of our table was on the edge of the patio, right over the beach. They were busy, but our server kept up and we never felt neglected.

The wine list is extensive, but pricey. We had 3 bottles, 2 of which were low end stuff, and our tab was 1G for 8 people. This was a special occasion, so no problem. But diners should be aware that this is a nice, but expensive spot.

“Great French food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

I think of the 6 French meals we had in Grand Case during our 7 day stay this is our favorite. The food was outstanding. The rolls are quite delicious - crusty on the outside but surprisingly soft inside.

“Fabulous French restaurant in the midst of great French restaurants!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Grand Case is filled with the best French restaurants. First night we are at a popular one, and the food was great. Second night we tried "the best" which is outside Grand Case. Nothing has been disappointing. But Tastevin far exceeded our expectations! It overlooks the water giving it so much of its ambience. The food was phenomenal. Light and flavorful. My husband had lamb chops and I had grouper with a delicate sauce. We have two nights left and I want to eat here again even though it breaks one of my vacation rules not to eat anywhere twice.

“Good but there's better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

We liked Le Tastevin and the other Grand Case restaurants but if you drive a mile or so north, you can find two delicious restaurants which are cheaper and offer refreshingly different and lighter Caribbean and Italian fare. We couldn't find either on Travel Advisor but I bet your hotel knows where they are because they are filled with locals. Sol y Luna and Le Taitu are both on the same small turnoff from the road to Pinel Island. Le Taitu is open for lunch and dinner. Our $15 plate lunch which included a glass of wine and coffee was terrific. I had stuffed crab and cod fritters. My wife had an equally delicious mahi in creole sauce. Sol y Luna is prettier and only open for dinner. This review is a gift to my fellow travelers looking for well-priced, delicious and authentic restaurants off the tourist path.

“Fabulous dinner!!! Ocean view”

Excellent french restaurant- was recommended to us in the Marquis Hotel- the attention and quality of the food is extraordinary. We sat right beside the water. If you are looking for a nice french restaurant- this is your place!
