After reading all of the reviews here, I still remained wary, as my husband and I are extremely picky. I can honestly say, that this hotel & its sister hotel were absolutely fabulous. We woke every morning and took a walk on the beach. After breakfast in our room, on several occasions, we would go to L'Esplenade pool and hang out with the bartender and bake in the sun. In the latter afternoon we would stop by the market, pick up some wine and cheese and go back to Le Petit to sit on our terrace and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Even though we had a car, we walked to the restaurants in Grand Case every night and enjoyed them immensely. $1 = 1 Euro, you can't beat that!

Caroline and Stephanie were absolutely perfect and we can't thank them enough for helping us celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We can't wait to go back this fall.

I only want to echo what other reviewers have said - Le Petit is immaculate and well located. Our second floor room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was large and the shower was hot. We loved the balcony that looks out on the water and Anguilla beyond. I suspect the room to have is room six - its balcony has views both to the water and down the beach.

We chose to rent a car through the hotel and we'd recommend it - the roads are easy to drive on once you get the hang of it and it was nice to have the freedom of touring the island as we wished. Harry from the car rental picked us up at the airport and drove us to the hotel and got us squared away in our teeny Hyundai (all you need) then picked us up right on time for our return to the airport. That said, I think it's also possible to have a vibrant vacation in Grand Case alone without a car. Two small groceries are less than 10 minutes away on foot (we loved Le Bounty) and there are tons of restaurants and lolos.

Also, take dollars. Even with the exchange rate many, many places accept dollars 1:1 with euros, and everyone accepts them. So you know, the ATM in Phillipsburg - on the Dutch side - gave us dollars but the ATM in Grand Case gave euros.

Also, consider the ferry out to Ilet Pinel - it runs all day beginning around 10 and ending around 5, and it's a idyllic way to spend a beach day. Stephanie or Caroline at the front desk will lend you snorkeling equipment and towels.

We received a warm welcome back to Le Petite when we visited this March. We love staying at the Petite because of it's location in Grande Case right on the beach within walking distance of many good french restaurants. If you wish to use the pool you can drive or take a 20 minute walk to the sister hotel, L"Esplanade, where you can lunch or have happy hour with Al next to the pool.
All the rooms overlook the ocean and we fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves.Stephanie at the desk is always willing to make reservations , suggestions,and help celebrate a special occasion. They have a french breakfast (pastries, coffee and juice) which we supplement with fruit yogurt or eggs. There were more couples from overseas this year, likely due to the strong euro. I would recommend it for couples, although we have sometimes seen families there too.

Le Petit hotel is a beautiful little hotel in Grand Case. The beach is very nice, the hotel is impeccably maintained, and the people who work at the hotel are genuinely very nice and helpful. The hotel is expensive, as is everything in St. Martin, but it is a very nice place. All of the rooms have great views out over the beach toward Anguilla. The breakfast is simple, but fine. I would certainly recommend Le Petit for a small hotel in Grand Case.
