Thanks to Tripadvisor we discovered Panlaan Thai on the Bay. We've been coming to SXM for years and weren't aware of the restaurant. It did not disappoint. We were there on a Sunday evening and sat outside with a lovely view of the bay and a live guitarist playing. The food was very good - I had the chicken satay which was moist and flavorful. The crunchy vegetable spring rolls were tasty, but I for some reason I didn't expect them to be fried. The Tom Kha soup was delicious and expensive for the portion size. The “Healthy & Tasty” eggplant and tofu was aptly-described. The restaurant is easy to miss - keep your eyes pealed looking for the sign.

Excellent Thai food with a little twist. Right on the water. Excellent staff, great recommendations. When they say hot they mean hot.

I've been going to SXM for many years and never been a fan of Simpson Bay area, fortunately some friends knew of this restaurant. Setting wonderful, even on a windy evening, service excellent and food superb! Do not miss this restaurant as you will be missing something special. Hope to be eating there again when I'm back on the island.

Luckily we noticed the sign pointing to "Thai Restaurant" as we searched for somewhere acceptable to eat. (4 adults and young child) This was serendipity indeed, a restaurant not to be missed. Beautiful setting on the marina, stylish interior, charming helpful staff and fantastic food with generous portions and very reasonably priced. We would definitely have gone back had we not been staying at the far end of the island. We highly recommend it.
