Before reading my review, please disregard the insane review of joanniette below. She has conveniently left out details and painted what I deem an inaccurate depiction of Celine Charters. I have no issues with negative reviews but embellishing to, I don't know, make yourself feel justified is pathetic.
Okay, with that out of the way, the Friday fun sail was nothing short of too much fun. Yes, you do wait a brief period for the crew to ready the boat as this allows all the scheduled passengers time to arrive. Once underway, Tamara prepares a nice assortment of breakfast items from ripe fruit to pastries along with tasty cheese and FRESH, not day old (we saw them carry it onto the boat) breads with an assortment of cream cheeses. And yes, the bar is open from the word go. The trip to Tintamarre was rough but that added to the enjoyment as several bow riders laughed and enjoyed getting splashed as the boat bounced through the waves, Once moored, it was a short swim to the beach and lots of provisions were brought ashore; snorkel gear, drinks, umbrellas, and any personal items you placed in the baskets. The snorkeling was best by the boat as we spotted turtles, fish, and a stingray. If you needed an item from the boat and didn't want to swim back from the beach, it was brought out to you. We returned to the boat for lunch and what a lunch it was. Tamara and Captain Neil prepared fall off the bone ribs, beautiful blackened fish, a delicious seafood paella and four excellent salads/sides. If you leave the boat hungry, it is your own fault.
After lunch we set sail for Creole Rock. Captain Neil let a couple of the guests sail the boat (monitored of course) and it was an experience and a treat. Upon arriving at Creole Rock, we enjoyed some excellent snorkeling. Waiting for us on board was a nice and refreshing fruit plate as well as a cake for the birthday girl on board. Next was a stop at Happy Bay for the mud bath. We opted out and swam around but those that did partake seemed to have a great time. Back on board we headed back to where we started. We continued to enjoy drinks, music, and an all around fun time. Tamara even carefully packed a sand dollar we had found to make sure we kept it safe.
The big wait that joanniette complained about back in the lagoon took virtually no time at all. I guess it is unreasonable for the Captain to expect to get paid for the excellent all day service he and his crew provided. This was by far the best trip we did on St Martin and you can tell that Captain Neil cares about providing a memorable experience for his guests. We will be sure to book a trip the next time we return.
