Off the beaten path, this little hideaway was a great place to unwind after a grueling day at the beach. LOL! The drinks are wonderful, and the staff is cheerful and eager to please. I would recommend this bar to anyone!

The Karakter Bus was highly recommended to us by people who live part of the year on St Martin. It is located on the beach close to the airport. You can be in your bathing suit and enjoy great drinks and excellent food! I think it is a well kept secret and a great relief from the craziness of the Sunset Bar and all the drunk cruise folks there. It gets its name from the old bus that his been converted to a bar of sorts..it's great fun. We were there during the day but they serve dinner and have music on specific nights. If you stay near the airport, it's easy to get to. It's a great place to hang out.

It is located on the other side of the runway at the airport down a road that I have forgotten the name of..near Mary Boons. Beach is secluded and they have a bus that is converted into an eatery..so cute! Dutch owned and so gracious...sat in beanbags while enjoying the view with great food and drinks. There is music on certain nights so be sure to inquire!

Not very busy the day I went, so I can't say what it is like when it is crowded, but it was just delightful that day. Service was excellent, and the food was great (had coconut shrimp and crab cakes). Can't beat the atmosphere on the beach either!
