Unlike another island I have been to, this fort is free to visit. It would not be fair to charge for this considering it is only some stone walls and rusted cannons. But for free and a 15ish minute walk from the heart of Marigot you cannot really go wrong. The walk up was a lot of stairs but not even strenuous if you are young and in good shape. There are a few interesting informational signs about the origins of the fort, defending against the British, etc. The views from the very top are great of the surrounding area and worth it alone. Many people were up and around so completely safe while we were there. Seems silly to miss considering it takes only a little time and no money.
