“Good Creole food and drink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

The market restaurants in Marigot are all similarly priced with similar menus. Our cabbie recommended Coco and we weren't disappointed. Good creole seafood and goat, and lots of rum punch and blended coladas.

“Coco Beach St. Martin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

A beautiful, relaxing spot on Orient Beach. We enjoyed delicious lunches of very thin crust pizza, salad nicoise, boef tartare etc. Everything was excellent. The service is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.

“Nice beachside restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Coco Beach was a convenient walk from my lodgings on Orient Beach. I was impressed with their service and menu, especially the seafood. While not inexpensive, I felt that it was a good value

“Watch Your Credit Card Charges Here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Coco Beach Bar and Restaurant is located between the Esmeralda Resort and the beach. It sits overlooking the pounding surf. It is nothing short of beautiful. There was a feral cat wandering around that is actually quite domesticated. He believes he owns the place, and is quite good at begging for scraps of fish. Sitting in the shade enjoying bottled water, I felt so relaxed. I could have spent the entire afternoon there.

Upon arriving we were asked if we were guests of the hotel. We said we were not. This is probably a signal to them that the people being seated are just passing through and unlikely to come back. Beware. Watch the amount they charge your credit card. The amount on the slip will not match the amount you are actually charged.

Our credit card can charge Euros or dollars. When we charge Euros, we get the actual difference, not surcharges. Additionally we do not pay any surcharges when we travel. Thank you Capital One! At Coco Beach Bar and Restaurant they marked up Euros to dollars and then put 20% more on the card. Again the slip I signed said one thing and the amount charged to CaptialOne was 20% more.

After lunch I went back to my room at a nearby hotel. Capital One sends out email alerts listing the amount of each charge. The slip did not match the charge. They marked up dollars to Euros and then charged 20% more. OUCH! I went back and confronted them. They naturally denied it saying it must be my card. It was not my Capital One. It was them. All my other charges wee correct.

The food was very good but they will over charge you converting Euros to dollars and then rip you off 20% more. If you really need to eat here bring Euros. Pay them in Euros and do not ever give them your credit card. They will rip you off.

“COCO home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We have been going to St Martin twice a year for 14 years. We found COCO on our first trip while staying at Esmeralda. As a guest at Esmeralda, COCO allows you to use the beach chairs. (deal between the 2 owners). We have quit staying at Esmeralda and stay in a private villa now but still go to COCO every day. It is so relaxing. No cruise ship or taxi drop offs. You go because you know it is there. The staff are the best anywhere. It is coming back to old friends on each return. Tai is awesome taking care of you on the beach. The food is great. That is why we keep returning year after year. Sophie cares about the quality of food and service. If you have an issue she is there to listen and resolve. COCO is our family away from home.
