“ok...for what it is”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

I took my kids to the zoo because the semi-submersible was closed (Christmas week). There were lots of parrots. My kids liked the playground there. I wanted to get back to the beach, but for what it was (a couple hours of diversion), it wasn't terrible.

“kid friendly and small”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

My son enjoyed the monkeys and was able to feed a very tame peacock and some goats. The ride there from the boat was interesting... a nice quiet outing.

“not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We went on christmas day and it was open, however, the taxi had to honk the horn to see if anyone was there. Small zoo and not in a pretty area. Does not make any sort of appealing entrance. Overall though my kids did like the zoo and there were some interesting animals. It is a little distance from the port, so unless you or your children love zoos, you probably could skip it. It also does not appear that taxi service is readily available, although the staff will call one for you when you are ready to leave.

“Quaint family spot.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

The displays need a little workon upkeep but for a small island this zoo is clean and the animals well looked after. A nice visit when we come to the island and easily accesable by bus or car.

“There were numerous acts of car thefts, breaking in stealing things RIGHT NEAR the Zoo.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Hi!
The zoo is great! Not too many species but they live in a friendly world and free. Some are in cages but a lot of birds turtles iguanas are free and you can see them in their real life as well as feed them.
The BAD thing is: WE WERE ROBBED AT THAT PLACE. Somebody broke into our car and took shooting equipment worth more than $3000. The administration knows about numerous thefts from tourists' cars for the last year, and did nothing. Not even a warning sign, nor security cameras which cost $150 but would help to catch a thief. Police is doing NOTHING in this town. We were even told that nobody will look for our stuff. Nobody took fingerprints and footprints (they were all over). I am shocked!!! Is this a police? People who are taking care of our security. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE if you want to be safe... or leave all your stuff at home. Looks like hungry ugly neighbours or even Zoo work stuff is doing this unlawful things. If I were a business owner and had numerous thefts during the year... I would definitely install cameras.
So, the zoo is good, the place is full of criminals.
