“Wonderful French Pastries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

We probably wouldn't have found this delightful little bakery had it not been the location where we boarded the boat for our snorkeling trip. We arrived early so we could enjoy what we were told was some of the best pastries on the island. They were not wrong! I had the almond croissant and my husband had a cinnamon roll, which were both delicious. We enjoyed sitting on the deck out back overlooking the bay, and were even surprised by a visit from a local green iguana. Upon our return from our excursion, we decided to enjoy lunch here, as well. We each had a small home-baked quiche with the flakiest crust I've tasted since my Mom's, and my husband indulged in their lemon meringue tart, which was what he called "perfection." Don't miss your chance to experience this little hidden gem next to FedEx. You'll be glad you found it!

“Best on the Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Stop by and have a croissant or a pastry and a cup of coffee. Pick up a baguette for later.
Great place, nice people and a view of the boats on the deck.
Fairly priced on this island of overpriced, so-so restaurants.
Try it...

“One reason to travel to St. Maarten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

Okay, it's not the primary reason to come here, but La Sucriere makes my St. Maarten mornings so enjoyable. The croissants are fantastic, specifically the almond croissants and the pain au chocolat. And the employees are just lovely.

Great french pastries, amazing breakfast! The strawberry tarts are the best, and the eclairs are good too!
