Its worth getting up early to see the sunrise on this beach, It was breathtaking. Also having breakfast at Busby's was wonderful just at sunrise.
Dawn Beach is another interesting place in St. Maarten. We took a cab from Philipsburg Cruise Port. The cab was $6 each because it was full. Expect to pay more if there are only a few in it. The beach was nice.mthere is a system that locals rent chairs and umbrellas (2 chairs) for $12 total. And the usual Caribbean woman wanting to give massage, sell cd's, or sell you a sarong. The locals also rent snorkel gear for the various reefs just 50 yards from the surf. The beach also has restrooms and an outdoor restaurant called Mr. Busby's. Overall it is a good place for couples to relax.
Dawn beach is were you go to spend the day at the beach with a minimum of distration. The beach is ok but sometime you have lots of sea shells to walk on before hitting the water
Seaweed was piled 2 ft high.....yuck yuck not a good experience...I don't know if this is a frequent occurence....
Nice sand and there is beach chairs, but Lots of seaweeds in water make swim unpleasant - look for other beaches - Pinel is probably the best
