Terrific hotel! Book the Romance Package to save on breakfast and a cabana and have an ocean-view room for a great price! The hotel is in a lovely bay and the beach is quite nice. The pool is fantastic with a nice swim-up bar. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel, or take a cab to several within a 5-minute drive. Marigot is approximately 25 minutes away if you don't feel the need to stop and admire the views along the way. Our room was very clean. The Heavenly Bed, well, heavenly. The balcony was a lovely touch and we enjoyed our coffee there each morning. ALL of the staff at this property were exceedingly helpful and kind. The Managers sought us out to insure that we were enjoying ourselves. We would return again!

Any trip to St. Maarten is wonderful. It is an island filled with great reastaurants, beaches, and hotels. It also has a great mix of ethnic workers from other Caribbean islands who have come to this island to work in the tourist industry. They call St. Maarten the friendly island and it lives up to its name.
The Westin Dawn Beach Resort takes you away from the frenzy of the larger cities and puts you on the Atlantic side of the island right at the border between the Dutch and French at Oyster Pond. They have a great multiple level pool, wonderful long clean beach, fabulous restaurants and all the other normal great hotel offerings. They also have their own casino! Even if you are not a compulsive gambler, it is a lot of fun to pop in and try the slots for a few minutes and be right in your own hotel.
The people we have met here that make up the staff, have all been carefully selected for personality and eagerness to please the weary traveler. I have been here several times and know this is not a lucky chance on my part to have had a good week. The staff and service is consistent. Any issue I have ever had was immediately resolved. I highly recommend you looking at this as a great place to stay.

True that it is a little bit far from the city but...
Rent a car for 40$ a day if you really want to get out!
We came back last week and really enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is fabulous, the room was super clean, great service, staff is very friendly, the food is excellent compare to all restaurants we did (that were alot more expensive!!)
The pool and the beach are one of the nicest on the island.
Don't get me wrong, it is not cheap and not an all inclusive.
For example we had entrees (the ceasar salad is very good!), filet mignon and tuna steak for....54$ US Pretty good no!
Quiet.. no need to run for chairs on the beach or at the pool.
Snorkeling on site.
Worth the visit.

Location is terrible for this location...Nothing is walking distance...

Service was below average for a brand company like this...

Restaurants are not all that in this hotel...

The best thing it had was the Bed!!!

Beware, you can get a better hotel, better rate and better location on this island...
