Quick small boat ride over to Pinel, $10 round trip. Short on time so went directly to the yellow restaurant for the recommended fresh grilled lobster. Pleasant waiter, sat under a cool canopy of trees at a picnic table. Lobster prices are explained in grams and euros, Confusing , so expected an expensive lunch, based on my calculations. Also did not expect much from the denser meat of a Caribbean lobster, but I know they easily rival Maine if prepared fresh and correctly. Here on Pinel I was not disappointed. The cage is pulled up, a live lobster was pulled for my approval, and about 10 minutes later it was served grilled and succulent alongside fresh ratatouille, with butter/garlic and creole sauce. Yum. Ran about $70, for approx. 1 1/2 lb. Worth it. Oh, and the island was really pretty too. 2 lounge chairs and umbrella were $25 for the day. Great beach for little ones. Very calm sea.
