Parking is limited. There are a couple of restaurant there which is great because once there you don't want to leave. The beach is on the west side of the island and enjoy calm water. Ideal for relaxing.
Juicy burgers, hot fries and cold beer right on a family-friendly beach north of Marigot makes for an enjoyable beach experience. Just don't be in a rush.
this beach is quiet and the sand was beautiful. We rented 2 chairs and umbrella ($15 usd)- a bit steep, but there was not competition.
The bar made good drinks. There is a path at the far end of the beach leading to Happy Beach- a good 15 minute walk. just follow the path all the way to the beach.- beware- clothing optional!!! Friar's Bay Beach was our favorite beach!
We love Friars Bay Beach! It is quiet, the water is calm. It is cheap to rent chairs with umbrellas. Drinks are pricey though.
We spent the day @ Friar's bay. It was terrific. The water is a spectacular blue and clean.
The lounge and umbrella rentals are reasonable and the vendors for the rentals and restaurant were very pleasant. Since we were there in the beginning of July, it was practically deserted which suited us well. Gorgeous place to spend a leisurely beach day!
