“You MUST got for lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2014

If you are not staying at the hotel, you must get reservations for lunch. We made a last minute decision to go for lunch and they were able to accommodate us.

The service from when you walk on to the resort to the servers is utterly amazing. A shuttle takes you up the mountain to Jade mountain and atmosphere is friendly and outstanding.

The lunch menu is very reasonably priced for the food and view you get. You will want to stay at the hotel. The flavors of the food were exactly as described and they I do to think you can go wrong with any choices.

Make a reservation and visit for lunch!

“Really good. A bit expensive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2014

You definitely have to be willing to drop some money but the experience was amazing! The servers were so wonderful! Super catering and wonderful! The food was really good-- the bread was great and the dessert was awesome!! Get the banana dessert, it might be the best dessert I've ever had!! The entrees were pretty good... The experience was wonderful! The drive up is kind of awful but worth the trip!

“Amazing Service & Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2014

My husband and I went here one night while in St Lucia. The service was absolutely incredible and the food was delicious! It was $95 per person for a 4 course meal. Definitely worth it. Get there before the sun sets for an amazing view.

“Overpriced and utterly disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2014

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Jade Mountain and stayed elsewhere. We were told the restaurant was fully booked and our hotel spent 3 days trying to secure a reservation for us. 7:30 p.m. was the earliest available. At that time, you cannot see the Pitons. We instead stared out into a black abysss of nothingness throughout dinner. We also noted 6 empty tables when the restaurant was allegedly fully booked.

I'll start with the pros first. The decor of the restaurant is quite stunning. We enjoyed the freshly baked bread and my dessert (a trio of sorbets) were delicious. The red snapper and cornish hen were good. Our servers were charming. There was an amazingly gifted guitar player that lifted our spirits despite this dining fiasco.

On to the negatives, and there are many. Outside of the all-inclusive plan, the restaurant offers a costly set menu, which we were not aware of until we arrived. For that price point (approximately $95 per person), we expected remarkable food but it was quite the opposite. Most of my and my boyfriend's courses were flavorless and unmemorable. The coconut encrusted plaintain salad tasted like flavorless coleslaw that you'd expect to find at a convenient store or gas station, and not a high end restaurant. While the presentation of the spring roll was beautiful, it too was tasteless. The shrimp parfait was also boring. The ahi tuna was suspect, at best. It had a strange pinkish color, odd texture and was also very bland. The wine was mediocre and the cobalt blue water glasses deceptively concealed any insects lurking therein.

We reluctantly paid nearly 300 U.S. dollars for this lackluster meal. If you have oodles of money to burn and value hype over food quality, this is just the place for you. Otherwise, consider saving your money and enjoying several amazing dinners at Orlando's or Fond Doux for the price of one unimpressive meal here. Big boo on Jade.

“The Most Expensive Subpar Meal in St. Lucia”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2014

Jade Mountain was the talk of Soufriere on our trip to St. Lucia this month. After all the hype about its stunning views, impeccable service and outstanding cuisine, we were thrilled to land a coveted dinner reservation at the restaurant, despite the fact we were staying elsewhere. If we had known what was in store for us, we would not have simply skipped the reservation; we would have run the other way -- fast!

While we were happy with our server, the dinner was unquestionably the worst of our 7 day stay in St Lucia. Our dishes were unmemorable and tasteless, despite well written descriptions and creative presentations. It's truly difficult to reconcile our experience with what the resort website calls "Chef Allen Susser’s 'Jade Cuisine,'” described as "exotic and delicious." Our meal was neither. From appetizer to entree, we were stunned at how unimaginative and bland each course actually was.

This would be disappointing under most circumstances, but the fact we paid close to $300 for a terrible meal is infuriating. Our experience at Jade Mountain was the low point of an otherwise memorable trip to St Lucia, and I sincerely hope anyone who reads this does not make the same mistake. If you're looking for amazing views as you dine, check out Dasheene at Ladera. If you're simply looking for the best food in St Lucia, don't miss the divine Orlando's. But whatever you do, avoid this place like the plague; it's clear that the Jade Mountain Emperor has no clothes.
