“Loved Paradise Excursions !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

My wife and I are seasoned travelers. We recently returned from a week long stay in St. Lucia with our kids, two 21 year old boys, and two 23 year old girls. We wanted an excursion which would showcase St. Lucia's beauty , teach us more about the Island, and be good exercise as well. We decided to book two hikes with John Nestor. John took us on a challenging hike of the rain forest, mostly uphill. He amazed us with his knowledge of the environment , telling us stories of each of the different types of trees, plants, and animals living in the rain forest. John also took us on an easy to moderate hike of Tel Paul, which showcases spectacular views of the Pitons. This hike alone was one not to be missed on any visit to St. Lucia. John was instrumental in the formation of this trail. He told us his story of how he worked for years trying to get help and support for the Tel Paul trail. Finally after years of trying to make his dream a reality, he is now leading hikes for travelers to his country. In addition to his impressive knowledge of the region , we were lucky to have met John Nestor. You get a sense that he is a good and honest man. We were happy to have met him. He made a day of our vacation very memorable for our family.

“Paradise Excursions with John Nestor Extraordinary!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2014

My wife and I recently returned from a week-long vacation in St. Lucia staying a rental villa near Soufriere. During our visit, we went on a hike at Tet Paul near the Pitons and had a wonderful guide in Mr. John Nestor. Not only did he have outstanding knowledge of the flora and fauna native to St. Lucia, he was pleasant and interesting in his narrative. We later learned that he provided private tours of many land and water sites on the island and hired him for a day long tour including a rainforest hike, visit to Marigot Bay, lighthouse at Vieux Fort and ending in Anse La Raye for the Fish Fridays celebration. He is extremely reasonable with his rates and knows every inch of the St. Lucia as well as many, many locals and local establishments. I highly recommend John and Paradise Tours if you're interested in any aspect of the island from land hikes, shopping excursions, scuba/snorkeling, boat ride, etc. He is well connected, very professional and respectful of patrons and is genuinely concerned about the St. Lucia environment, it peoples and his clients!

“Unforgetably Heavenly Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014 via mobile

Tet Paul is an unforgetable trail. The tour starts in the city of Castries where you are picked up at the port by Mr. John Nestor the tour guide who, before leaving Castries shares some history of the country, its government and its friendly people. Winding roads lead you from the city to the Sulpher Springs the- island's drive in volcano, in Soufriere. All along the road there are stops made to accommodate you and your taste buds, to sample and buy locally made products like Banana Ketchup, Spice rum etc. Then into the quaint piece of heaven that is called Tet Paul. This name alone has history attached to it. The tour of the trail starts with another tour guide who is very knowledgeable and patient. He makes you want to soak in everything he says. What an experience. The scenery is glorious. The pitons are miles apart but look so close. The valley between them is so colourful and inviting. I can go on and on but I leave it up to you to see for yourself. St. Lucia's treasure (TET PAUL) is waiting for you. Come visit soon. I am a St. Lucian who had her first experience yesterday and truthfully, I am going back to finish what I started. A love affair with the view of Tet Paul.

“guides in St Lucia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

My wife and I recently visited St. Lucia. We are used to travelling on our own, without guides. But by accident we happened to run into John Nestor. He is an excellent guide, personable, patient, very knowledgeable about both the nature and the history of St. Lucia. The time spent with him, very reasonably priced, very much added to our trip, both in regards to hiking and cultural and historical aspects of the island; we went places we would not have found on our own. Anyone interested in a an excellent guide should contact John at john@stluciasguidedtours.com

“Six Seasoned Travelers Give Paradise Excursions A Thumbs Up”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2014

People if you are traveling to St Lucia please consider contracting with John of Paradise Excursions. If you are looking for an adventure you won't be disappointed. John had a vision to bring guests into the natural rain forest of St Lucia in a way that protects the environment, sustains the local community and ensures an amazingly fun time. He is making that vision a reality. John tailors the day to meet your needs. You chose your adventure; John makes it possible. The price is extremely reasonable; he even baked a cake and brought a bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday. John knows how to navigate the road side stands, ensure a delicious island lunch, shares the history of the island and access the local venues. We experienced the mud baths, the local water falls, and walked the trail to heaven with amazing views of the Petit Pitons. John knew the best restrooms and the best rum. Truly, this was our 6th cruise of the Caribbean and our favorite island experience. John made the day everything it was.
