“The Best Meal I Had in St. Lucia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

Martha's daughter prepared an extra spicy creole chicken for me and it was great! The best meal I had during my stay in St. Lucia.

“Incredible local cuisine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

First of all, from reading many reviews on TA prior to going to SL, we had every intention to walk there from the resort we were staying at (Jalousie). Once we got there and saw the narrow, steep winding roads we thought no way!! The taxi price wasn't bad from Jalousie, $20 RT. The restaurant is set up right outside her house. She is only opened for lunch on the weekdays. Make sure to call ahead before going. One day we wanted to go around 12:30ish and our butler called ahead to find out that she closed early because she already ran out of food! The day that we did go, I had the kingfish in creole sauce and my husband had the stewed chicken (very popular!). Both were delicious! The meals include a wide array of side dishes, including plantains, noodles, beans, mac and cheese, etc. You will not leave hungry! For the two of us, not including drinks, it was about $24. Which is great, considering that is the price for one meal at the resort! Also, since the seating is all outdoors, make sure to bring mosquito repellent! All in all, if you want great, affordable local food, go here! You will not regret it!

“Unique. And delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012 via mobile

We have had MANY foreign local lunches, and nothing compares to this place.

Table service for us. Then a group came and they got buffet style.

Our table service was a massive dish. I finished it all, then helped my wife on hers. Quite a cute atmosphere made it very enjoyable

“The best in Soufriere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012 via mobile

We ate at several restaurants while we were visiting Soufriere and Martha's Tables was BY FAR the best. The stewed chicken was amazing! The cost was a third (if not even less) of the hotel restaurants, the portion sizes were excellent (you won't leave hungry) and the food was the most flavorful meal we had on the island. Unfortunately they were only open for lunch during the weekdays so we only were able to eat there one time. This restaurant is definitely a "can't miss" if you're in the area. Seriously, it's delicious!

“Best lunch ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

A challenging walk from the Stonefield Estate Villas, but well worth the effort. Amazing food for a fraction of the cost of resort restaurants. If you are at Stonefield or Jalousie, walk there. If you are anywhere else, drive, hire a taxi or hitchhike. The spicy chicken, pork chops, mac n cheese, veggies, etc. are not to be missed.
