Well, the 2010 Fodor's guide had the admission at $2. It was actually $20...a big difference! Our Innkeeper said the rate change had happened 5 years ago. The admission price did not include the mud bath, just a short walk with a guide, who you were obliged to tip. The info was interesting enough, the guide well informed. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. Again, in all, not worth the cost unless you feel it is a must see, or have kids interested in geology. As with most tourist stops, the ever-present vendors plying you to buy their wares is, well, wearing.

“Not too bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

One of the places we went to. It's a great destination, but the smell of sulfure was killing us. Maybe we are not made for this kind of places, so I shouldn't really judge :)

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Go early before the crowds so you can really hang out and enjoy it. My skin was baby soft after the mud.

“Pretty Nice”

This tour was pretty nice but may not be that interesting to some... Seeing the boiling mud in the thermal vents was shocking!

“It's Hot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

A must do on the island as it promises to make 10 years younger. The water is dark but not dirty. It's also extremely hot, but once you get in you'll get accustomed..it's supposed to open the pores in preparation for the application of the sulphur. After applying to the skin, you let it dry and renter the hot bath..your skin feels baby soft. The bottom of the spring feel a bit "mushy" under my feet, but I survived. It was a great experience.
