We stayed in Morgan Bay last week for the mother in laws wedding.
The hotel is very average. We had a beach view room which had 2 double beds and a single bed, we also had a cot which we didn't end up using as it looked like a prison!

I have to say I was disgusted by the fact that there were holes everywhere outside the front of the rooms! Very unsafe for young children!

Also we were not made aware before our visit that they would be renovating the hotel and that although there are 4 restaurants, for the majority of our stay only 1 was open!

The one thing I would say that this hotel has got Right is the people, the staff are super friendly and brilliant with my 2 young children.

I wouldn't pay £3k to take my family there again not worth the money! Although the actual wedding day and evening was lovely and we were well taken care of!

I don't have a bad word to say about this place, the hotel is amazing the staff are helpful and polite, the food is outstanding. When we arrived we found out we had been upgraded as we were getting married out there. The room was amazing as was the view. The wedding went to plan.
I would recommend Joys boat trip to the volcano and mud bath and we was presented with a beautiful wedding cake. Joy also done our sunset cruise on the evening of our wedding and went out of his way to do this for us.
Thank you Morgan bay for a fantastic holiday, wedding and honeymoon all in the short space of a week!

Room Tip: we stayed in 1142 at the top of the hill, the view is stunning.

My wife, our three children aged 13, 13 and six and I stayed at The Morgan Bay Resort, St Lucia in August. We chose this hotel partly because it is part of the Elite Group of hotels which we have been pleased with on previous holidays (we had already stayed at The Veranda and St. James’ Resorts in Antigua). The Morgan Bay Resort is a lovely hotel and in a beautiful part of the island (close to Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island). On arrival, the whole check in procedure was very smooth and efficient and by the time we had finished our rum/fruit punches we were fully relaxed.

We were really pleased with the facilities and staff at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and were always wanting to please and make your holiday as relaxing as possible. We were introduced to Charles, the hotel manager and he was very present at the hotel which was very welcome. All the management team were helpful and knew the island well so they could give advice on where to visit. We felt that the staff truly care about the guests and want to ensure their holiday is pleasant and enjoyable.

The rooms were just perfect for our family. We had rooms overlooking the beach and Morgan’s Pier – one double room with a third bed for a child and the second room had two three quarter four poster beds and another spare bed. Luxury! The house keeping staff were very attentive and the rooms were always cleaned to a very high standard. The gardens were also very well maintained and looked lovely.

We also enjoyed all the restaurants. In particularly The Bamboo restaurant – looking out over the sea at both breakfast and dinner time! Again, the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The A la Carte food choice is quite limited but they also have a kids’ menu which was great for all three children. At Palms restaurant there is always a buffet and you don’t have to book here which is great if you have gone off the resort for the day. (They will do you a packed lunch if you are going out for the day).

There are four pools at this hotel. We enjoyed the main pool but it can get busy. The children’s pool up near the kids’ club was a hit with my children as it has two (rather small – but one is big enough to take the weight of an adult) slides and a bar and grill which serves simple but good food such as burgers and pizzas etc from lunchtime until about 6pm. You must try a BBC from the cocktail bar!

Finally, the water sports! In my opinion, this is one of the best organised water sports centres I have experienced in the Caribbean (we have been to several). The water sports staff are extremely friendly, engaging, lively and willing to please. A big thank you to Nelly, Stuwart, John, Jonny, Kerim, Robby, Peter, Modeste, Bell who helped us out when we needed their expertise! It is as though they want you to have an excellent time with them as opposed to simply providing a service. The Hobie Cats were a hit with us and once booked the timings seemed to run smoothly. Remember to queue up from 8.30 in the morning to make bookings.

There is a lot to do on this island and we hired a car for five days and managed to visit the main tourist attractions – Tete Paul, the botanical gardens, Pigeon Island etc. We drove down to Soufriere town on a couple of days. It is a long drive from Morgan Bay but worth the effort. We even walked up Gros Piton (our six year old completed it too without much complaining!) and then went to the volcano for a mud bath which was recommended by a local and a very good suggestion too to help soothe aching limbs!

We also scuba dive and the diving was very punctual being picked up from our beach by Scuba Steve (excellent dive operation), to be taken down to the superb dive sites further down the coast near the Pitons.

Overall, we all had a great time at Morgan Bay and I would certainly recommend this hotel and the island of St. Lucia and we would definitely go back.

We loved this hotel and the Island is the most beautiful one ive ever been to. The staff were amazing and always asking if we needed anything. The choice of pools were brilliant we normally stayed by the pool in the morning then went down to the beach after lunch. The food and different restaurants were great. So much choice and never had a bad meal. The only thing I would say was that the evening entertainment could have been a bit better but we were normally so tired from doing very little all day that we would be in bed by 10pm anyway! I cant wait to go back and see the refurbishments. It was such an amazing holiday that my uncle went out 3 weeks after us and they felt the same as us! Miss you all.

Room Tip: We stayed in block 2 and had a garden room. It isn't to far away from the pools and beach.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Morgan Bay. I had never been to an all inclusive, now I know why they are so popular. Morgan Bay's many restaurants had a huge variety and the presentation and taste were fantastic. Efficient and friendly staff. We will definitely stay there again. So far I have recommended it to two couples, both will be heading there in the new year.

Room Tip: The further rooms are quite a trek, especially up the hill. Next time we'll choose one a bit clo...

The resort is very nice and well kept up. People on here keep saying about how it was run down. You can tell when you go there that they are renovating and keeping up the hotel. Good food, nice staff, room was always clean and nice. The only 2 things that people need to know when going to Morgan Bay and Saint Lucia in general is that night life is just ok. Every night the resort has a band of some sort playing, but that is pretty much it. Also, for U.S. travelers. The hotel told us that there would be no problem with people on the island accepting U.S. currency. Do not try to pay with anything bigger than a 10 if you expect change. People aren't to willing to change out anything larger. Being young and never traveled out of the country, my wife and I had 50's that people were refusing to take.

My Husband and I stayed at the Morgan Bay Beach Resort for 9 nights 10 days, We found the resort to be quite and clean. Staff was very professional and helpful. Food was awesome with a large variety to choose from. They had a few different bands playing at night that were excellent. I have been to several all inclusive resorts but found Morgan Bay to be the best vaule for my dollar. We plan on returning next year :)
