What a lovely hotel. Well appointed, lovely helpful people with a special mention for Ernie and Peppy for making our stay great. Please however do not become all inclusive and take away the charm of Rodney Bay and exploring the area. We ate 50% of the time in the hotel and the food was very good but so was - la Terrace, Blue Olive, Tapas and Marie's on the beach - all totally different and of a high standard.
If you are the sensitive type have a room on the garden side as the music can be a little loud on the pool side - we enjoyed the late night reggae and the windows were double glazed.
Shopping and tours good but beware long drives.
Would definitely go back as many of the other guests seem to.

My boyfriend and I purchased the all-inclusive Groupon for a total package of 10 days. We were a little uncertain as to what to expect, but were totally happy with the resort. Our pool view room was very nice and the bed was quite comfortable. The pool is very inviting. We spent several evenings in the pool listening to the bands that the resort had for entertainment. The bartenders and wait staff are extremely friendly and so was Peppy. The all inclusive menu is somewhat different from the regular menu (you can pay extra for the steak and seafood), but we found all the food to be simply delicious. There is a casino, mall and grocery store right outside the resort property and a beach within walking distance (1/2 mile maybe). Every Friday night is the street dance in Gros Islet. Don't be afraid! It was fun to be a part of the islander's life. Try the street food. It is good! We had a wonderful time on this island and did everything from ziplining to snorkeling.

Room Tip: Our pool view room was perfect.

We have just returned from a wonderful two week B&B stay at Coco Palm. The location is perfect for enjoying all the attractions and restaurants of Rodney Bay without having to use a taxi. We chose B&B as we enjoy trying a different restaurant every evening, and there are enough good restaurants in the area never to repeat. The Coco Palm is a beautiful looking hotel which is immediately appealing, the gardens are well kept and you can see an abundance of birds and butterflies there. The swimming pool and bar areas are spacious with plenty of sun loungers, at what ever time we went to the pool there was always loungers available. Our room was huge with a king size bed overlooking the gardens. We found the room peaceful and well appointed. The bed very comfortable, the shower powerful and wifi in every room. Carmen, our house keeper, kept the room spotless and also gave nice touches like fresh flowers on the dresser and petals on the bed for when we returned each afternoon. But what makes the Coco Palm special? The staff. All the staff are genuinely open and welcoming. The reception, the bar staff, the waiters and waitresses, the cleaners, the gardeners, the security staff and all, always on hand with a friendly smile and greeting. A home from home atmosphere which makes every guest feel special. A special thank you to the concierge, Peppy, for all the helpful advice. If you you want a warm friendly, personal hotel visit the Coco Palm, we will again!

Just returned from a two week all inclusive holiday at Coco Palms and arrived at the hotel with a little trepidation never having been to the Caribbean before (and it having rained the entire journey from the airport) however I have to say it is probably the best holiday I have every had. We had a garden view room on the second floor (1st floor in English) with a small balcony – it did overlook the generators however we spent more time watching the birds and the wonderful weather. The room had a super king size bed and was clean, inviting and supremely comfortable; the rainforest shower was a delight. Didn’t care that the TV wasn’t slimline – it worked and had over 100 channels to choose from (have stayed in 4/5 star around the world and the only English programme was CNN!). Didn’t encounter any members of staff that weren’t polite and helpful including Reception, Chambermaids (ours was Nicola and she really looked after us), Security and Gardeners/Pool guys. As for the Bar and Restaurant staff – they really made our holiday - Patricia, Delia, Rhoda, Yasmen, Rosemary, Wendy, Genevieve, Siana, Glen, Dwight (get him to make you a ‘dwight’!), Quincy, Shady, Raphic, Sean, Shervan (you have to try some of his fantastic ice-cream!) – and not forgetting Ernie!! (apologies for anyone not mentioned). The Creole Kitchen was wonderful (Chef Peter) – ate four times there, tried different things every day and was never disappointed. Breakfast was buffet style and there was always plenty of choice, generally had a snack at lunchtime and the meals we ate in the restaurant in the evenings were enjoyable and tasty whether it was buffet or set menu I found plenty of choice. Short walk to both the beaches and shops - good advice not to forget your driving licence/passport for duty free shopping.

We spent two nights here. We found the staff to be very helpful. The rooms are basic but were clean. The pool was well maintained and the food really very good. The complimentary breakfast went above and beyond our expectations. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and there really isn't any view to speak of. But for the money, you can't go wrong. I'd stay there again without reservation.

What can I say. This was our second visit to Coco Palm, the first being four years ago. It was as we had remembered, with much of the same staff (which is always a good sign). The breakfast, now included in the room price was excellent with many options. We never had a need to eat lunch. The omelette station with Yasmine was especially good. Patricia was a welcome smile every morning as was Rhoda and Wendy. The bar staff were all first rate big shout out to Dwight and Demetrius but Shady was my favorite. Have him make a dirty banana for you. The hotel is not directly on the beach but it only a short walk away. There are countless vendors so be prepared. You can get two lounge chairs and an umbrella set up for the day for $30EC. Friday is the best day to go. There are no cruise ships in town and the beach was pretty much deserted. The pool is never crowded and there is no need to “save” lounge chairs. There were six in our group and we never had a problem getting chairs together. There is a fridge in your room so you can easily stock up on snacks/liquor at the grocery store. There is no glass allowed in the pool area for obvious reasons so bring a travel mug. I was disappointed to think we’d miss the steel drum band on Sunday but they played at lunch time so all was good : ) The duty free mall next door has some nice shops as does the Rodney Bay Mall across the street. Don’t forget your passport when shopping there. We did check out the Friday Night Jump Up. It's an experience! There are many great restaurants in the area so get out and try them. The trip from the airport to the hotel is long and winding. You are either turning left or right constantly. I am not one for getting car sick but three gravol couldn’t sustain my stomach on this trip. We opted for the 12 minute helicopter ride on the return journey. It was worth every penny of $165. We had booked our transfers and a tour through Barefoot Holidays and I must say they were first rate, on time and our tour guide was very accommodating stopping often (same road we travelled from the airport) to take pictures. I do hope to get back to Coco Palm again in another few years and hopefully see some old and new friends.

Room Tip: If you tell the beach vendors you're local they will leave you alone.

Having read some of the recent reviews I find it hard to believe that they are talking about Coco Palm! We are currently enjoying our 6th stay & we cannot fault the staff or service. Yes there have been a couple of very small issues which have all be sorted out quickly & efficiently, if you have an issue you only have to ask they it will be sorted out. OK maybe some of the rooms could possibly do with being redecorated but they are kept spotlessly clean & if there is anything you need again you only need to ask,

In our opinion the food is excellent, We are on the All Inclusive package but it is so competitively priced that if we want to go out it's not an issue. You really can't compare the AI package at Coco Palm with the big resorts, we know from experience they charge at least double the price which in our opinion means that you really don't get value for money! The resort has now opened a new restaurant 'Creole Grill'. This restaurant serves typical St Lucian food and is excellent - easily as good at Ginette's Place! We will definitely be eating there regularly.

Different people want different things from a holiday, & if you like the large US style resort hotels on the beach then Coco Palm will not be for you, but if you like a smaller more personal hotel where the staff consider you to be friends & always greet you with a smile then you won't do better than stay at Coco Palm.

Finally it is an $80 Taxi ride from the main airport in Vieux Fort, NOT from Castries which is around $25

As one of our valued returning guests, we thank you for continuing to return to Coco Palm over the years. We know you have been to a few hotels and have choices but have come to appreciate what we offer.

Despite knowing the island you chose our All Inclusive and the great value we offer. The attractive price was to encourage you to dine around should you wish yet knowing you have all your meals and drink covered through the duration of your stay.

It is unfortunate some guests choose to use this forum to air their grievances repeatedly when we know if you have an issue our Team will work to address any concerns. However, that is today's traveller who feel empowered by these forums vs the old fashion way of communicating with people and dealing with issues.

We thank you for continuing to endorse our product and know that you have become an integral part of our Coco family.

Best wishes,

Team Coco
