“"Pros and Cons"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This was our first time to St Lucia; at Coco Palm Resort, Rodney Bay. We flew with Air Canada stayed for 2 weeks from Jan. 28th 2013 to Feb.11th 2013. Our stay was an all inclusive. Mistake to take all inclusive because the menu they gave at lunch and at supper was the same for 2 weeks! The airport shuttle a long ride to Resort about one hour and 45 minutes.
The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The quality of food was very good. So next time B&B for us! The hotel is small which gives a nice intimate feeling, creates a relaxing atmosphere. No fighting for chairs or towels lots to go around for everyone.
The travel agent originally booked a garden view room at the back of the hotel, nice with 2 full size beds, but we preferred the pool view room. We went to front desk Tiffany and staff very pleasant, made the change for us. Except the room we got was on the 3rd floor, we had French balconies only, no outside sitting. With 1 King size bed, which was not to our satisfaction we had preferred 2 full size beds, which were not available. The bed we had was a beautiful wood bed, the only negative thing about the mattress it laid on a platform, like a bunk bed, so it made noise every time we moved, kept waking us up.
On the 3rd floor they need to put a runner in corridor...When guests arrive you hear the rolling of the luggage, the heels of shoes...Not very quiet for 1am . The rooms were very clean & a good size. Thank you Veronica job well done…beautiful swan flower arrangement on our bed the night before our departure!
The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. Beach is beautiful but could be cleaner on the way into the beach. Also not to easy to find should have better indications. Within walking distance of Resort nice restaurants, bars, mall and casino.
Bathroom was a pleasure tiled, granite vanity tops large shower..Never missed hot water, pressure of water was very good. Water in bathroom tap is drinkable.
The Wi-Fi at this resort was very good, it was never down always had a good connection. But the TV would need an upgrade. The coffee pot in the room didn't make great coffee, but what I did was make hot water with it, I bought instant coffee mmm good! Fridge was handy to have bought fruits, milk and little snacks for a late cap. (Beware, your things will freeze) in the bathroom there is an 110 volt socket suitable for shavers and charging batteries but bring voltage converter.
The staffs go above and beyond to deliver great customer service, very friendly and welcoming...Special mention to Peppy♥ Siana♥ Patricia♥ Amelia♥ Sam♥ Rosemary♥ Rhoda♥ Delia♥ Esther♥ Sean♥ Shaddy♥ Kurt♥ Glen♥ and to Dwight's” Mango Daiquiri”♥ I apologize if I am forgetting someone. GREAT STAFF!!!!
Till the next time my dear friends!!!! Love you all ♥

Room Tip: Pool View room.

“Poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

We arrived at coco palm slightly before our advertised check in time. We were asked to wait for a short time. However nearly 3 hours later we still could not get into our rooms. Finally offered a complimentary drink but more disappointment followed in the bar over the next few days. Firstly I asked if they had a lunch menu to be told that they could make me a baguette. Approx 30 mins later another gentlemen asked for a menu and was given a full menu. There was also several mix ups whereby staff tried to charge us for drinks we never had. Speaking to other guests this appeared a common theme. Breakfast was reasonable, as we're the quality of the rooms and pool. Best asset of coco palm was Dwight the barman who was excellent. Overall would not return

“Great staff. Horrible sleep.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

This friendly hotel has a good location near Rodney Bay, shops, nice restaurants and casino. The staff is extremely friendly. One of the staff stopped by on his day off and was committed to assisting customers while he was on property. Impressive!
This review would be much better but the beds are the worst. Just a cheap mattress. The floor would have been more comfortable. I asked for other options, there were none. Seriously, the worse.

“Qulaity & Exceptional Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Arriving at Coco Palm Resort was a breeze, the Check-in staff we're ready for my arrival offering me a complementary drink, and after a long Flight from London this was just what I needed to start my vacation.
I had a garden suite Room that was perfect, Clean, Classy and Comfortable only minus the TV is not a flat Screen however I was on vacation so it did not bother me.
In Total I stayed at Coco Palm for just over a week.
The Staff at all levels Maid to Waiters are exceptionally polite and willing to go the extra mile to make your vacation perfect and stress free. (The maids will spray your room for mosquito, which is a big plus also fresh flower’s in your room)
The hotel has a new menu, which taste amazing with something for all taste buds. (The Prawns are to die for and fresh juices)
I had a few spa treatments value for money and excellent results.
I had the pleasure to go on a boat cruise organised by the hotel, which has just started. It was a fantastic experience, very well organised plus I got to meet other guest.
Location is Perfect, 3-5 Minute walk to the beach loads of places to eat, bars and shopping.
Transportation is not an issue with access to local taxis, or if you want to do as the locals, which I did get the bus, a great experience to the town centre.
The Wi-Fi at this resort was probably better then my own house which was a big shock, it was never down always had a good connection.
Having stayed at other hotels on the island perhaps rated more luxurious, this resort is the best so far due to the extra touch's the staff make that adds to ones vacation.

Room Tip: The Bed's are very good sizes, The Garden Suite is spaces and comfortable.

“Good food, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

My wedding was on the 30th Dec 2012, and at the very last minute, I was able to secure a flight from Trinidad and accommodation at Coco Palm. The room was large and very clean, especially the towels. Some other hotels despite their high ratings have very grungy towels. The food was excellent, in particular the variety of fresh fruit. In terms of service, everyone we interacted with was very polite. We liked Mr. James, our driver a lot. He was very knowledgeable about the on goings in St.Lucia beyond the usual information tourist get. Overall it was a great trip, good value for money. The only thing that should be done better is a more detailed explanation of the all-inclusive packages.

Room Tip: Ask for the "Swim-up" suits. These rooms have a separate door and steps straight out of th...
