First rate dining experience. From start to finish, Chef Xavier was on point with every single dish. The flavours, freshness, execution and presentation were all outstanding. All 6 of us had a 3-course meal, and were glad for it as the desert was not to be missed. The wine list was good, as was the atmosphere. The service needs improvement although the food was so good we hardly noticed, and were aware that this is still a new restaurant so the staff will take some time to get fully acquainted. To the best of my memory, here is what we had:
trio of soup (gazpatcho is the best I've ever had)
goat cheese salad
Coquille St Jacques
jumbo shrimp in garlic sauce (2)
Filet Mignon (2)
Rib eye steak (companion raved about the Creamy Mustard orShallots and Merlot Wine Sauce)
Each desert was so out of this world that we ended up tasting everyone else's...
chocolate fondant with chili sauce (to die for!)
passion fruit tart (tied for first in my mind)
dark chocolate mouse (2)
new york cheesecake with tropical fruit topping
