After reading the 'excellent' reviews on here we were expecting to have a really romantic evening, but were slightly disappointed.
Firstly we were greeted by a young lady who thought of herself far too good for the joint. Even though the restaurant was 25% full, she seated us right by the waiter station for my husband to look directly at (nice). She offered us complimentary champagne cocktails, and while these were being made another waiter approached us and we asked him if we could move. This was not a problem, so we moved to the edge of the restaurant only to realise we were looking onto the car park! They had lovely drapes around but failed to think perhaps here would have been an essential place to use them. Oh well, we were seated now, and made do. The young lad then looked after us for the evening. Even though he lacked personality and a smile, he was very attentive and keen to please.
Our cocktails arrived which were very nice, and we were lucky enough to enjoy some live music that I think finished at 9.30pm. The menu was limited, with only a couple of things on the menu that we fancied (especially due to the rather pricey price tag). Apparantly the menu had changed last week so no more crab soup, scallop and shrimp creme brûlée, jerk chicken or pork medallions that have been enthusiastically mentioned in former posts. My hubby had the sea bass (EC$100) and I had the tortellini (EC$77). Both tasted absolutely gorgeous. No complaints there.
Not sure if I would go back, probably not.
