To say we were extremely disappointed with this one would be an understatement. Having read the reviews decided that nothing could be this bad - how wrong we were. The rooms are O.k. pool O.K but sun loungers only 2 inches apart. Don,t expect to find the bar open after 10.30 at night - arrvied back on more than one occasion to find it being shut - it is advertised as being open from 11 am to 11 pm but if there is no one there in the evening from about 10 they will close it, so if you have been out and want a drink back at the hotel make sure you get back before 10 p.m. However, the most disappointing thing of all was the food, which to us is one of the best bits of any holiday.
Don,t expect the food to be hot, don,t expect choice and don;t expect to put on weight!
Had undercooked pink chicken one lunchtime followed by almost raw fish the following day. Complained to the manager, food was o.k.(ish) that evening but then back to the usual boring stodge. One morning we went in to the dining room at 7,30 when it openend to see if the breakfast items were hot - even when they were brought out they were luke warm. The sausages were 'off' on most days. Fruit and salads together with real caribbean food were non existant. Our first trip to the Caribbean - you always look forward to holidays and we had neve been here before, unfortunately this was enough to put us off going back. If you feel the need to eat elsewhere spinnakers on the beach - fantastic, for up market try the Edge overlooking rodney Bay Marina. In fact all the other eateries were faultless. May be the owners/kitchen staff at the village Inn & Spa should look to these other establishments for inspiration. If any Tour operators that use this hotel read my comments suggest you send in someone to check up on the food at this place as it does not deserve to be in any brochure.
