“Nice stay...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

Stayed at hotel 5 days for a conference held at hotel. Room clean, nice big bed, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, iron and board, etc. Breakfast and lunch good. Hotel is near a health facility, 2 malls, restaurants and a supermarket. Swimming pools were a bit small but clean. Surroundings well maintained. Ventured to resort walking (10 mins.) and used shuttle. At both locations the staff were friendly, helpful and mannerly in a genuine manner. Any issues were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
Wi-Fi connection was intermittent and slow at times but still managed to get online for important stuff...I would stay here in the future, vacationing with my family.

Room Tip: Sunset seen from resort beach - priceless...

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time out to leave this review. We are trying hard to work with our service providers to ensure a consistently reliable wi-fi connection throughout the hotel. We would love to have your family stay with us too!

This was my third visit to St Lucia. I have stayed at the Bay Gardens Hotel and the Inn on separate occasions and both are excellent. Large comfortable rooms and queen beds, powerful shower, a good strong hairdryer in the bathroom also a fridge and kettle are welcome additions in the room. Very near to two large supermarkets and mall, bus stop very close to the hotel, staff super friendly, cocktail party at Bay Garden Beach Resort really delivers as does the great live band they have, friendly guests at all resorts, wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rodney Bay.

Room Tip: The Inn is quieter than the hotel but both hotels are excellent.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel, with friendly staff. Very clean and great gardens. Very comfortable bed, slept very well .Kettle and fridge in room, and ice machine. Breakfast ok, different every day. Shuttle bus to sister hotel and beach a bit random, but we mostly walked.Cocktail party and entertainment at the sister hotel was very good. Joined in aqua aerobics in sister hotel. Got a bit pestered on the beach, you need to be very firm to avoid unwanted extras, including being plastered with aloe vera ,and then being charged for it! Enjoyed every single day, especially recommend taking water taxi from sister hotel to Pigeon Island, very relaxing day walking round the site, and relaxing, unpestered on the beach. Superb fish roti at the restaurant. You can hire snorkelling gear as well. Overall, a brilliant holiday, and lacked for nothing.

Holiday of a life time. The friendly staff are some of the best we've had at any of the hotels we have stayed at. The hotel was clean and well looked after and the shuttle to the beach resort was very handy. Shops and 2 Mall's just around the corner as well as a Dr's clinic made life easy. We ate at the hotel most nights, the food was very good with dishes from around the world.
Would we go again, definately.

Looked at many different options. Had family also at Sandels Grande and I also looked at the Bay Garden Beach resort. The Hotel is walking distance from the beach and they also have a shuttle, no need to pay double at the the Bay Garden Beach Resort for what you have at the Bay Garden hotel. We had 4 in our family and my son was only 14 so we couldn't stay at Sandels with the rest of the relatives, we are so glad we didn't stay there, we would have paid $9K for 2 rooms as opposed to $1700 at the Hotel for a 2 bedroom suite, yes we had to pay for food and extras but NO WAY did Sandels add $7K of extra value. The locals on the beach were actually less pushy than they were at Sandals beach and the water sports offered there were very reasonable.

The hotel is a nice little hotel, with friendly staff. Must make a mention to Joanne who works behind the bar who is fantastic and makes a great cocktail! The hotel is just what you need to a a reasonable price. The rooms were what you would expect but had ants in our room which was a constant problem. We were verbally abused and followed by a local guy on the first night near the town which was very frightening for two girls, and ruined our first night. We attempted to be moved to another hotel as the last bit to walk to the hotel is dark and not a great area, but this was not possible. One member of staff a guy that works doing bits and pieces at the hotel was a nuisance and we complained about him. He kept making gestures to us whilst we were trying to relax on the balcony, which made us feel very uncomfortable. We spoke with a staff member about it only to have the guy knock on our door later on and apologise, it was very awkward and made us feel even more uncomfortable. Staff shouldn't make guests feel like this!

Have recently returned from a 10 day stay at the Bay Gardens Hotel. The hotel is small and as mentioned by other reviewers the staff are very friendly. Check in was quick and before I knew it I was on the way to my room with the welcome rum punch in my hand. No waiting around.
The room was a good size with a kingsize bed, full size fridge, kettle and tea and coffee supplies. Good air con and nice size balcony. The hairdryer in the bathroom was very powerful (which is most unusual) and the shower worked really well with plenty of hot water.

There are two pools at the hotel - neither of them very big or deep but good enough for cooling off and they don't get too busy. Plenty of sunbeds but suggest a few more umbrellas would be a good idea.

We were on a half board basis, which is something I wouldn't normally opt for but I cannot praise the chef enough. The food was so tasty, cooked to perfection with good sized portions and of a standard you would expect to find in a 5" hotel/restaurant

We became regulars at the happy hour and the 'to die for' cocktails made by Steffi and Joanna were sublime.

We took the free hotel shuttle bus to the sister hotel a couple of times. It was late once but that didn't matter too much as we sat in the rocking chairs on the verandah while waiting. The sister hotel is really lovely and on the Manager's cocktail night they have a floor show and live band which are both very good.
