Description: Whatever you do, don’t leave Buzz till your last night. Besides their à la carte menu they have nightly specials. Buzz has been operating for 12 years and Pat Bowden and Chef Marie who have worked together for 37 years have been successful in all their restaurants. Pat has created a restaurant and bar with a warm ambience, friendly atmosphere and lots of charm. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and as the name implies, is abuzz with activity. Food is presented on dishes in varying shapes, sizes and colours. Buzz is known for Seafood; Fresh Tuna, Potato Crusted Snapper, Baked Mahi Mahi filled with Avocado and Shrimp, Swordfish and a variety of Shrimp, Scallop & Lobster dishes (in season). House specialities include Homemade Raviolis, Lamb Shanks, West Indian Pepperpot, Rack of Lamb & Black Angus Beef hand trimmed and served with a variety of sauces. Homemade Desserts include a Trio of Crème Brûlée, Warm Apple Crêpes, Chocolate Mousse and Banana Pecan Bread Pudding. Mervin the Bartender will whip up fun cocktails like our “famous” Mango Dacquiri, Buzzing Bee Stinger and Buzz Cooler. Not only does Mervin keep the guests amused with his “chat”, he also keeps the children amused with his “card tricks.”

“Buzz off!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of others and I think we must have picked a very bad night!
It was packed with a live Jazz player, so we took a makeshift table behind the tree in the garden. The first waitress was lovely, the way she spoke to us made us think she was the owner........she wasn't! The real owner was sat on another makeshift table directly behind us (probably 3 foot away.
Our starter came out and got delivered to the table behind us, we then watched it go back around the bar, around the restaurant until my husband finally jumped up and told someone it was ours. Next our mains.......I ordered the special - kingfish and salsa. Fresh Kingfish - I don't think so. It was a lump of fish so hard that my knife couldn't cut it - clearly had been frozen for years. I called our fourth waitress of the night over, and she was pleasant and said she would change it for something else. I didn't dare try more fish (bear in mind that this is a seafood restaurant) so went for the other special - chicken with parmesean. Next minute we heard the woman behind us call the woman over and ask loud enough for us to hear - what the problem was. My main arrived after my husband had left his horrible chicken stew with red beans - looked like cat food. My chicken had been deep fried - disgusting & the pasta dreadfully undercooked. We decided to call it a day and asked for the bill.
That's when it stopped being funny. The first bill had a bottle of wine for $80 we hadn't ordered on it. I called yet another waitress over and again the woman behind asked her what the problem was.
Finally we got the correct bill after waiting 20 mins for my switch card to be returned with the signing slip. (made me very nervous as your card should never really be out of your sight).
Not once did the woman behind ask us what the problem was or indeed have the courtesy to apologise - shameful for an owner.
We will never return to Buzz - awful food, awful service and an owner who does not care about customers.

“Very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Went to Buzz restaurant and ate outside on the patio. We went there because the prices were cheaper than other nearby restaurants. Were happy with the quality and taste of the food. Would go again.

“Excellent but check your bill!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Very attractive making the best of an on street location. Varied and tempting menu. Seafood creole frankly superb. Quality of service staff is, as so often in the caribbean, unfortunately patchy. But the thing that restricts this review to only 4 stars is a double charge for a drink on the bill for which there was a grunting and surly acknowledgement but not a hint of apology. As with so many good, competent restaurants throughout the caribbean, the slovenly and graceless service lets down some excellent kitchen skills. However, heartily recommended despite these misgivings as the food and atmosphere deserve it.

“Good quality restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

This is a consistently good quality restaurant with a varied menu, attentive staff and a pleasant, relaxed setting. The creme brulee and bread pudding are especially good.
