“Fifth trip imminent - that speaks for itself!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

I've seen the mixed reviews, and felt I should add my "tuppence-worth"!
The bottom line is that this holiday is fantastic, taking account of facilities, food, and overall experience. I couldnt say a bad word about staff, who have always been helpful and keen to help. The bedrooms are of their kind... they are not Dubai-style 7star, but more traditional, in keeping with the loation and its culture. I wouldnt criticise them for that. Food is excellent, at all the various restaurants. What I really love is the range of activities and the lack of pressure. I am particularly keen on the availability of talks from the resident nutritionist, who also happens to be one of the trainers, so helps you tackle things from both perspectives. Its also possible to have a private session with her, and its well worth it.
If I didnt have friends to go with, I wouldnt hesitate in going on my own as its perfect for singles! I tend to come back having had a brilliant time, and at least as fit as before I went thanks to the range of (not too tough unless that's what you want) classes, and food. I'm going back in a few weeks, with a friend that I've persuaded to come along, and others who have been before, and I really can't wait!

We spent a week of our honeymoon here in June 2013 and it was absolute bliss. We had never been on an all inclusive holiday before and we were a bit apprehensive about not having a choice of where to eat or the quality of food. However with three restaurants to choose from and amazing food, we were not disappointed! Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff either. The beach is gorgeous and with all the activities included you can do as much or as little as you want. We booked through Kuoni and also booked a catamaran tour with them which was good fun. The hotel also does a sunset catamaran tour which is free and drinks and food are included, I think it's on a Friday night, this was great and a good way to meet other hotel guests. Wish we were still here and hope to get back someday!

Room Tip: Pick an ocean view room for gorgeous views from your balcony

My second time and other members of our family's fourth time to LeSport and it was a fantastic 8 days. The drive from the airport is long especially if you hit the traffic (2 hrs) but as long as you prepare for it, what welcomes you is a touch of paradise. Greeted with a cold towel and refreshing drink, checkin is done within a few minutes and you are taken to your room. Two of us were lucky enough to have an ocean view room on the fourth floor with a cracking vista, two queen beds and a decent size bathroom. A couple of issues were that the internet didn't work right away but was fixed within a day or so and the shower did have quite a major leak on the floor which wasn't addressed during our stay but hopefully will be looked at (room 425).

The second single traveller bedroom booked for the other member of our party was not quite as impressive. On the fifth floor, it was smaller and had views of the roofs and trees at the back of the hotel. The phone didn't work at first but was also fixed within a day. The decor was also a little dated but once it was accepted that they were only going to be sleeping in the room, we didn't make too much fuss about it as didn't want it to disrupt the holiday.

Other than those teething issues, the rest of the trip was fab.

Food - great quality and range of choice at breakie with fantastic omelettes. In the deli, the salads, wraps (sweet chilli chicken in particular) and smoothies were always a highlight of the day by Janelle and the team - true service with a smile!! Cariblue Windows tasting menu with accompanying wine is highly recommended, as is Tao.

Watersports - The guys at the watersports are always keen to instruct or take you out be it sailing, paddleboarding or skiing. Spent the majority of my day heading over to them and shared some laughs. Thanks to Joe, Dennis, Omar and the rest of the crew.

Treatments - I enjoyed all my massages, exfoliations and alike. The therapists were great and being someone who chats more during these, it was find out a bit about each of them.

There are more fitness classes than you can shake a stick at and although I didn't partake in any, those I met that did, seemed to enjoy themselves and found it pushed them appropriately.

The bar staff, beach staff and water waiter service (yes they'll bring cocktails to you whilst lying in the water hammocks) were always polite, efficient and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Having a sun downer on the deck whilst watching the beach volleyball at the end of the day was another highlight.

I'd say maintaining the high level of service is key to ensuring it separates itself from the competition and thinking about the choice of entertainment if you want the younger clientele to return (that doesn't mean turning the music up louder :-))

In short, I'll be back for sure. It's such a stunning spot and the service is top notch at this moment I can't think of somewhere that can tick so many boxes.

Tip - do take the helicopter at least one way and hope your get the Canadian pilot. Hilarious!

Room Tip: Worth paying for an ocean view room above the second floor

I was apprehensive about the concept of an all inclusive given previous trips to all inclusive holidays in Egypt however this was a totally new and different experience.

The food was great, very varied and you could eat as healthily or unhealthily as you desired. There were lots of options for activities and classes or you could just lounge on the beach having frozen flannels and pimms bought to you (right up my street). The cherry on the cake was the daily treatment - the massages were lovely. The Body Holiday is a bit different from what I'm used to, but it was totally brilliant.

All in all a great break with some fantastic staff (name checks for Eric and Haile - they were fab).

The transfer is about an hour and a half, so longer than we expected however it's a nice drive with some great views.

Our first time here lovely room 262 which was ocean front deluxe, food and staff amazing, great mix of single, same sex and married couples, water staff amazing especially Davidson, Jermaine in the Piano Bar and Criselda in the spa. We were very sad to leave, management need to enforce smoking ban more as one guy decided to smoke wherever he wanted including the beach.i filled in a comments card upon leaving as our last night was spoilt by a big group of Americans taking over the restaurant, need home 3 weeks and no reply from them, we enquired with the resort about going back but got a cheaper price through our travel agent.

Treatments are great even my husband loved them, the staff, food and ambiance are amazing, we will be going back!!

Room Tip: Ocean front deluxe very nice, we stayed in 262 but air con poor and view restricted by Palm tree

I have just got back from a brilliant 10 night holiday. The resort is superb if you are going on your own. The classes are excellent and all the staff are so friendly. The communal table enables you to meet up other people easily and I found that all guests staying at the the resort were incredibly friendly whether there on their own, as part of a couple or as part of a group.
The room, food and atmosphere could not have been faulted. I shall definitely be going back

We just returned from a 2 week stay and had a lovely relaxing holiday which is exactly what we needed. We did take part in a few of the fitness classes but even the beginners classes where a bit too tough if you had never tried them before (particularly the spin classes). We really enjoyed a great selection of food however all evening meals carry a supplementary offer for an upgraded meal with wine (which we declined as we felt this was far too expensive for what was on offer). The spa treatments were great but you were constantly 'recommended' upgraded treatments for extortionate prices. My husband was recommended a back therapy treatment to take as an upgrade from his inclusive treatment plus an additional US$95 which turned out to be just a more vigorous massage to the standard one and not worth the extra expense. We also both had supplementary beauty treatments which were very expensive and in our option not worth the money, so stick to the inclusive spa treatments would be our recommendation.
Our room was basic but clean (which is what we expected from reviews) - they only thing that was not what we expected was the damp smell - the whole of the corridor that we were on (first level) smelt this way and when you first opened the bedroom door the smell was overpowering! Most of the staff were wonderful but there were some that let the resort down in the Cariblue Restaurant and in the concierge office. We were invited to go onto the Friday night sunset cruise which is reserved for those who are repeat guests or those celebrating a special occasion - we had a lovely few hours on the boat and the party atmosphere was great with the 'bodyguards' getting everyone up dancing and having fun. This is definitely something that should be extended to all guests. The other thing that we found disappointing was that the only snorkelling trip was to the Pitons once a week at an additional cost, otherwise it was just snorkelling on the beach where there wasn't a great deal to see. On the whole we enjoyed the experience but did prefer the service that we received at Sandals on another carribean island which was considerably cheaper than this holiday where all inclusive meant 'all inclusive'.

Room Tip: We did hear from other travellers who had paid a premium for an upgraded room but ended up with one...
