Oswaldine & Ernest are the beach party at windjammer!! Oswaldine is so tentative and genuinely kind hearted. We wouldn't have visited the beach daily if it weren't for this wonderful host. Ernest is the best beach bartender hands down- the entire Caribbean. We loved you guys! And will definitely be back to visit :)

We visited Windjammer over Christmas 2013, traveling with our son's aged 20 and 18. We arrived late in the evening due to the ice storm in Toronto but were immediately made to feel at home as they brought out food and a great rum punch in reception while we checked in. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom villa #12 which was within 100yds of reception. It was an easy walk despite the grumbles from the 2 young adults in our family. The shuttle service is amazing and when we did use it never waited more than a few minutes for it to arrive. The villa was wonderful, clean, airy and newly decorated. We had no complaints and the cleaning and pool staff kept the place spotless for us.
All the restaurants served great food and the buffet breakfast in Dragonfly always set us up for the day. The theme nights were excellent and you never got fed up of the choices at both lunch or dinner.
The bars served great cocktails and the local Piton beer is very refreshing. The beach bar was a welcome oasis from the sun and Alex and Marcus deserve a special mention for keeping us hydrated and entertained with their surprise cocktails. The wine was also good with a good selection included in the all-inclusive price.
I have to mention how great the staff were on Christmas Eve when a storm settled over the island. The rain was torrential and when the power went out the flash lights nightsticks went on. Food and drinks were still served at all the restaurants and the staff took it all in their stride. We ate at Papa Don's that evening and arrived to find the rain pouring down the stairs and flooding the floor. Everything was still served off the menu and we watched as the chefs put together great food by the light of candles and nightsticks.
On arrival back at our villa the top floor, our bedroom had water on the floors hat had run in under the door from the road. Immediately a security guard arrived to check we were ok and to dry out our floor with extra towels.
The power was back on during the night and by morning we found out how bad the storm had been. The manager kept us well informed with written updates on the status of the water and power on the resort and conditions around the island. Some rooms had problems with hot water and water pressure but it did not seem to dampen anyone's spirits. Extra bottled water was supplied for those who needed it.
I have to say this is a wonderful resort with a great atmosphere. The manager is a regular face around the resort and very approachable and the staff, of which there are so many, could not be be more friendly or helpful. Do not be put off by the moans and groans of the reviews about the resort being on a hillside. It makes for amazing views and sunsets and a little exercise to work off the amazing food you are going to eat.
The only thing I ask to improve before our next visit because we will be going back is more sand on the beach especially where the beach volleyball is played.
St. Lucia is a wonderful island with wonderful people. We can't wait to go back to enjoy another wonderful vacation.

This is a fabulous resort!!! We're here atm, having the best family holiday!! We're here with our 2.5 year old son & 6mth old daughter. We're here for two weeks so didn't opt for a hibiscus suite but have a lovely 2 bed villa with pool. It's villa 9 and I highly recommend it - it's not too far up the hill and has an incredible view. This isn't the most luxurious or plush hotel but it makes up for that with bags of character and a great Caribbean vibe - it's the friendliest & most relaxed place ever! And when I say it's not the most luxurious it's very nice indeed and has everything you need and is always clean & tidy.

The food has been excellent, it's our first all in holiday & we were worried about getting bored with the food but there's no chance of that.

There's no decision, this is a brilliant place to holiday and has made us very happy indeed :)

We just got back last night from our third trip to St. Lucia, second time to the Windjammer and that will be our go to spot ever year. Amazing food selection, quality, and servings; staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you; rooms are clean with breathtaking views of the oceans. The windjammer is made up of villas; so unique to the island, you feel as though you are staying among the trees, one with nature. Another bonus is how quant the resort is. Everything is central from the beach and while the villas are located up a hill, there is a shuttle at your beck and call all day.

Resort is great for couples or families alike. There is a kids club, great swimming, several pools, and a trampoline in the water...not to mention all of the inclusive water sports for the entire family.
The beach is beautiful, white sand, and the ocean floor is sandy. You wont be disappointed visiting the Windjammer, everything is simply perfect; it is paradise!

We will be returning to Windjammer Landing this year for the third time.. The resort is lovely and the staff very friendly and accommodating.. We especially liked the easy access to the kids club and watersports offered. We will once again utilize the services of Serenity vacations and tours for excursions and trips into Rodney Bay (great variety of restaurants). The staff is both friendly and reliable.

The Friday night buffet at the Dragonfly Restaurant is well worth a visit to Windjammer Landings for, whether you are staying at the resort or not. First off your senses are greeted with the tangy smell of smoked brisket and other delights at the carving station. If that is not enough to get one's mouth watering, the incredible salad / soup and side dishes definitely are. My husband had three helpings of the Tortilla soup and would have made an entire meal of it if not for the BBQ meats calling out to be tasted. The smoked brisket melted in the mouth. In addition there was pulled pork, BBQ chicken, sirloin steaks, smoked ribs, shrimp on a stick and a lovely fish dish as well. OMG it was all so good. Having seen the wonderful dessert selection, I saved room for the flan and was very happy that I did.

The price is a mere $95 EC which is about $35 US. A bargain at that price.

The sign hanging at the door states "Where there is smoke there is flavour" and I could not agree more.

Well done Chef Bill and team!

My wife and I stayed here for a very brief trip to St. Lucia. It was planned last minute and was our first trip to the island.

Our room was very spacious with a kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. We also had a balcony with a beautiful view. Our room had air conditioning throughout but note that there are rooms with "open air" living rooms, which can get a little warm. Also our room had an HDTV which was nice to have to catch up on news, although the cable can be spotty at best.

There are several resteraunts here and in our brief stay we managed to eat at Upper Deck (seafood), DragonFly (Carib-Asian), and Jammers (island/pub food). All of the food was fantastic. Food and drink prices were moderate. Having only been to the island once I can't say if they are high or low for a resort. There was a little market on property though that sold food, snacks, and drinks for reasonable prices which was a big plus.

The resort is right on the beach. It was very nice during our stay. Not too crowded and no hawkers which I saw mentioned in other reviews.

Lastly, plan for a 90 - 120 minute drive to and from the airport. It's a bit of a hike.

Room Tip: Higher floors will certainly enhance your view.
