My partner and I stayed here a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. The rooms were large and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were large and clean. The grounds were gorgeous. What can I say? We had no complaints. The restaurants were fantastic - great variety of food, one of them overlooking the sea. The beaches were clean and lovely. The only thing I didn't like was there were a couple of men hassling people on the beach to buy things but they didn't persist and were lovely really. Just wanted to make a bit of money! I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, sun soaked holiday.

“Nice Hotel, Great Diving”

My wife and I and another couple stayed at the Halcyon in mid-April. We are all in our mid 30's and have vacationed in Jamaica together in the past. The grounds of the Halcyon were beautiful and the room was well appointed. The resort had a very laid-back feeling to it. The food was great at the nicer restaurants, but the buffets were just average; we last vacationed at Couples Negril 2 years ago and ALL of their food was excellent. The beach is nice; nowhere near as nice as the photos, but it is nice. The diving was some of the best I've seen and with it being included in the the price of the stay it is a great value. We visited both of the other resorts which were beautiful, but they are both very big and seemed a little busy to us. We took a cab into Castries ($10US) and enjoyed exploring the city; we never felt unsafe. We did sense some attitude from some of the staff at the resort and some general rudeness, but for the most part the staff was very friendly. We flew into the airport in Castries which was very nice due to it's proximity to the resort. We flew out of the airport in Vieux Fort. The ride to Vieux Fort is a long one; if you are prone to motion sickness, it would be wise to take some motion sickness medication because the roads have lots of hills and lots of curves, but the ride does give you some spectacular views of the country. St. Lucia is a beautiful country.

“Halcyon was Intimate & Relaxing!!!”

We had a wonderful vacation at Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia. We wanted a hotel with a quiet, intimate atmosphere and we were not disappointed. We were very happy with our room which was on the beach. Food was excellent. We would especially recommend eating at The Pier Restaurant for dinner. It sits at the end of a pier overlooking the water and is a very romantic setting. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We visited the two other Sandals hotels in St. Lucia as there was free shuttle service. They are all fairly close so the drive did not take very long. We particularly liked the beach at Sandals Grande as the ocean there is a lot calmer. We ate dinner once at Sandals Regency at Armando’s restaurant which had great Italian food.

We left refreshed and rejuvenated and look forward to returning.

We spent a wonderful week here. It was truly memorable for the right reasons.
We arrived to find we had been upgraded, and our room was just what we expected. All facilities were provided and worked. The bed was firm and supportive. The services to the room were excellent.
We attended the introductory meeting and also met with the managers at the weekly evening do. As a bonus we won an intimate white glove 5 course gazebo dinner, so do remember to go!
Our friendly bell hop 'Maverick by name, and by nature', who escorted us to our room was a foretaste of the calibre and attitude of all the staff, including maintenance, housekeeping and catering. All the bar staff were entertaining and I can only envy the energy and enthusiasm of the playmates.
If you want to pick holes in anythig you can, but in my opinion failing to enjoy immensley a stay at the Halcyon is evidence of a personality disorder.
This is an all inclusive resort that offers good food, excellent drinks and fantastic company and all at very good value.
My wife and I have travelled a lot, and we have stayed in many countries. If you feel you want better food or service than the Halcyon can provide you will need to have a very deep pocket!

“Tropical Paradise”

Sandals Halcyon Beach

Having just returned from a weeks holiday at the Halcyon in St Lucia i felt compelled to sign up to Trip Advisor and write a review.

Before we travelled we researched the resort and read the many mixed reviews posted on Trip Advisor. It was therefore with some trepidation we boarded the transfer bus from the aiport for the 45 minute journey to the resort.

From the minute we set off our holiday just got better and better. The sceneray we passed was breath taking. Up and down mountains, through banana plantations, past mansions and shacks, golf courses and mariners, St Lucis seemed to have it all.

When we arrived at the resort we sat in reception to check in and were given the customery glass of fizz before being escorted to our room. We had read complaints that the rooms were small and in need of some redecoration so were a little worried as we were lead through the dark to our Garden View room.

We needn't have worried. Yes, it was looking a little tired but it was clean and looked out onto beautiful tropical gardens. The pools, beach, gym and restaurants were all within 2 minutes walk. It was not the Ritz but it was perfect for a week of sun and relaxation.

All the staff at the resort could not have done more to help. They were very friendly, efficient and always took the time to ensure our every need was catered for. There were always sun loungers available by the pools and on the beach, and an endless supply of food and drink.

I would highly recommend the Halcyon for a relaxing break in beautiful St Lucia.
