I have visited St Lucia frequently but this is the first time I have stayed at this hotel.
The hotel has a very pretty setting and the front of the hotel has Seraphine birds nesting in the trees. A very pretty site. The front looks out over Castries harbour. The coalpot and jacques restaurants are within walking distance. I booked direct via telephone from the UK which was then confirmed by email. Very straightforward.
Room
Excellent, large very clean and a very reasonable price. We booked the deluxe room which had a balcony overlooking the harbour.
Pool.
Clean and well looked after. Nice bonus.
Dinner.
Very good and reasonably priced. Simple fresh food cooked with attention. The rum punches were excellent. Nicely spiced and not too sweet.
Breakfast
Auberge Seraphine scored very high points for this. Freshly cooked and prompt service (thanks Lucretia!).
Friendly atmosphere with locals including business people, tourists etc. Nice mix and more natural than at a resort hotel. A very good nights stay and a good introduction to St Lucia and Lucians.
Camille the manager takes great care with this hotel and it shows. I am not sure I would stay there for one week or longer as I prefer to be near a beach but for a 1-3 day stay in order to explore Castries and the nearby areas.
