“attracting but not "happening"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

The area is beautiful, architecture interesting but not any special events happening outside the usual fruit vendors in the area.

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

It was just there......can't really say any more than that. Not spectacular, not anything of any note...it was really, just there.

“Up Grading Castries...............”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

This is the capital of Castries and it needs to be up graded like Serenity Park in San Soucie Castries need more attractions it needs to be more lively. Castries is the capital f St KLucia and most of the five star restaurants are not located there. Castries needs casino, museum, cinema, bowling alley, theater, five star restaurantsparking lots closing to the middle of town for convince up scale bars. most of the building needs a face lift. too many vagrants.

“Nice bakery nearby!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

The square has some attractive old buildings on the right hand side as you face the cathedral from the square, and a big tree, but apart from that not particularly inspiring. We did rather like the bakery which is down Laborie Street. Stand in front of the cathedral facing the square and it's on you left about 100m off the corner of the square. To get to it you'll pass the entrance to a nice local cafe/restaurant which has a balcony area at first floor level - great for getting a drink and watching the activity around the square.

“Locked”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

The square looked pretty but the gates were padlocked shut the two times we went there. As such, we didn't go in.
