“Best way to see St Lucia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

Having read excellent reviews for Cosol on both trip advisor and cruise critic we booked the day tour for our cruise stop. It certainly lived up to expectations, the day was packed full, but with plenty of time for photos and drinks. (29th March).

Cosol himself was our guide and he was excellent, one of the passengers on our bus needed a wheelchair and Cosol could not have been more accommodating, he made sure the gentleman didn't miss anything and nothing was too much trouble.

As a family of four, with 2 boys aged 13 and 10 the content of the tour was great, my 10 year old said it was his favourite day of the holiday. I won't list all the stops, they're on his website.

Thanks Cosol for a super day.

“One of our most enjoyable days.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

I have to say, because I was always more comfortable with booking tours from the cruise lines I was a little skeptical in booking this 'stand alone' tour. I couldn't have been more wrong. From the very first contact Cosol was the consumate host and tour guide. His warm welcome and efficiency in getting all his tour people organized and on the road was excellent. Our day started at 08:30 and ran for a full 6.5 hours and we were never bored, never behind schedule and never left wondering about anything we saw. Cosol himself drove our very clean, comfortable air conditioned mini bus, and his passion about his home, and his eagerness to share information about it was refreshing and entertaining. More than once his wit and sense of humour had us laughing. The "Kodak" moments and "pit" stops were very well timed, and when my lady says the washrooms were clean and respectable, you can bet they were. Furthermore I was very impressed that Cosol asked that question each time. We thought that had he received a complaint he would have dealt with the offending WC right then and there. The food buffet they laid on for all the tour, was ab-so-lutely delicious local fare freshly prepared and offered up in the beautiful outdoors. (Later in the day we actually got to meet the lady who prepared the food)There was lots to eat....... way lots to drink from the portable bar that chased the tour everywhere, and no shortage of good fun and laughter. It was at the breakfast stop that I got to see some of the other drivers in action, and from the way their passengers were relating to them it was obvious to see that each of those folks enjoys the job and is good at it. The tour included a nicely timed beach stop near the Pitons, that was accessible by water taxi, a banana plantation, food stops, a visit to an active hot spring in a dormant volcano (including mud bath if you so desired), a water fall, various points of interest and the shopping district. Cosol dropped us off at the end of the tour, only then collecting his fares, with more than enough time left over to do some shopping before boarding. Thanks to Cosol and crew, from the Canadians in the back of the bus!! We had a blast. Don't miss it.

“Family Tour St. Lucia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

The Carnival Valor stopped in St. Lucia and our family group of six adults, two teens and two pre-teens eagerly found Cosol Tours at the designated spot to begin our island tour with driver, Joseph. Immediately, we were made aware that there was an unfortunate glitch that day. Matt Damon, his wife and celebrity friends had bought out the resort and water rights to the beach where we were to enjoy a swim and snorkel stop for 75 minutes. The tour company was very apologetic but there was nothing they could do. What was minor disappointment for us was actual loss of revenue for many in the local tourist industry, particularly those who conveyed people to this beach by boat. However, we joked that we tend to show up at the spots favored by Matt, Brad, Angelina, George and others and it is such a nuisance. We moved on with a fabulous tour of beautiful St. Lucia. The taxi-van accommodated our group of ten so it was a private tour. Lots of wonderful island food at our "breakfast" stop. Wonderful scenic vistas and information along the way from Joseph. This was a great tour which we booked on-line. The company is well and efficiently run. Perfect.

“Cosol Tours St. Lucia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Just got back from a cruise which included St. Lucia. We had prebooked a tour with Cosol Tours before we left home. As it turned out we had Cosol himself as our tour guide. It was great! There were multiple stops with ample opportunity for photos. It seemed we toured the whole island. From a banana plantation to an active volcano to a gorgeous secluded beach and much more everything was great. The tour included a fantastic breakfast which featured local delicasies, a refreshment van which followed us around and the best bread and cheese lunch I've ever had. I highly recommend this tour!

Cosol, I hope you got your issue with the movie stars ironed out!!

“Best Island Tour EVER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

The best thing about this tour was the PACING. You know how some tours take you to a "destination" and you are in one spot for 2 hours - going over 10 minutes of material - not on this tour! The pacing was perfect. Stop at the bannana plantation - see the plants - learn the bannana life cycle - have some bannanas - 15 minutes later back in the van on to the next spot! If you had questions, wanted more info, you had the opportunity - never rushed, but this tour moved and showed you a LOT of the island.

My 2 sons 12 and 14 loved this tour (and at that age that means it was really good)

We were met at our cruise ship by the friendly Cosol Tour rep ("Yellow Bird"). We then were shown to our transport a small mini bus, very clean & good air conditioning (seats 10 or 11 - they group you up). We booked this tour while on the ship via email and paid a lot less than the ship was charging for similar tour.

Stops included (not in order):
* banana plantation & sampled the fruits,
* island breakfast, tasting local foods (this was excellent - great variety),
* sulpher springs for a mud bath
* water taxi to a beach nestled between the Pitons
* drive thru and presentation at the volcano
* swim in the water fall
* stop where Dr. DooLittle movie was filmed
* stop for the BEST BREAD snack ever - this BREAD alone was worth the price.
* multiple picture and market stops (but not the annoying 40 minute market stops)

Also they had a refreshment truck that would meet you at the attractions so there was always plenty to drink. You know how some tours only offer awful rum punch that is so bad you can't drink it so they save money - NOT COSOL. Drink truck would be ahead of you with bottled beer, bottled soda, bottled water. All you wanted.

All this added up to the best island tour ever.
