Fabian of Fabian Tours was our driver for our customized tour of St. Lucia. He showed us all the standard sites outlined in his standard Island Tour with Tet Paul walk/hike near the Pitons instead of the mudbaths and volcano visit (which we have in California). Fabian was prompt and answered all our questions as we drove the curvy roads of St. Lucia. We stopped for bananas, coconuts and mangos along the way and on the way back he bought the famous local bread made from I believe farina. He clearly is knowledgeable about his homeland and is very experienced at giving a good overview of what makes St. Lucia such a special place. Near the end of the tour we stopped at Margot beach for under an hour which included the short ferry ride across the bay. It would of been nice if we had time to grab some lunch and hang out at the beach - as it was thank goodness we brought our own sandwiches. Because it was a private tour it wasn't cheap but I feel for the most part we got our moneys worth. The only reason I am not more excited about recommending this tour is because I personally felt Fabian wasn't overly warm or enthusiastic. After the talkative and friendly taxicab drivers in Barbados, Fabian seemed rather subdued. Not sure if this was because St. Lucians are in general more reserve in nature or if Fabian is simply tired of offering tours? He mentioned he had taken over the family business... In contrast our next tour in St. Kitts, our private tour guide clearly showed a love and passion for his island. He seemed to love talking about the history of St. Kitts. Fabian not so much. But Fabian definitely provides a professional tour service and so I would without hesitation recommend his tours to anyone going to St. Lucia
