Let me preface this review by saying how before I actually went on the excursion, all week I was excited (I really wanted to try it!) but anxious(I was also secretly nervous!) all at the same time. Usually ATVs have a dangerous reputation, and while the terrain on the tour was uneven, steep and sloppy, (wear shoes you don't mid getting dirty) my fears were overcome by all the fun and excitement I had during the adventure. We also had a great instructor and tour guide, Anya, who made sure all along the way to stop and check in on us and give specific instruction as needed to properly operate the ATV. The ATVs were an awesome way to travel around the property, it definitely added the element of fun and excitement. My fiancé and I shared a vehicle, and followed directly behind Anya the entire way as we had no experience ever driving/riding. My fiance's sister and his brother in law followed just behind and It was like we had our own private group of just the four of us and Anya.
To our surprise it wasn't all about off roading on a 4wheeler. Anya had a wealth of information to share about the plantation, capturing our interest along the way. She stopped to take photos, pick fruit, walk on river banks and make you do smell tests of leaves or flowers. She welcomed questions and was very easy to have casual conversation with. The tour was nearly 4 hours long, but I'm not certain that is commonplace for every tour.
Thank you Anya!
It was a memorable experience and you wouldn't want to pass this one up!
