“Nice for Tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

My husband chose this for our last night based on reviews and as a last minute dinner without reservations on a Sunday. The service was very good and we had no problem getting a table, as there were only a few guests dining. Prices of wine by the glass were extremely reasonable starting at $6.00. We ordered 3 tapas for dinner. They were very good but for the price, I would have been more satisfied with an entree. What I really enjoyed was the music. They had three musicians playing lovely music and that made it special.
I think this would be a good lunch choice especially since you can walk to it from St. Jean beach!

A lovely rustic atmosphere, great outdoor setting, fantastic wine cellar and great locally made french food. A great evening shared with friends made even better by the friendly staff, so good we had to come back the next day.

“Good, but not amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

We thought it was a nice place. Portions are tiny, so it is really a bistro. I think for the price, there are better restaurants.

“Wine Bar on St Barts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

tapas and entrees. Many, many wines by the glass or you could walk into their cellar and select something else if they didn't have it on menu. The house pate was absolutely delicious as was the sea bass. We intended to go back as it was that good. The setting is cute too, kind of in a courtyard area in the shops of St Jean. Secluded enough that you don't feel like you're in a shopping center, great ambience. And the staff was so helpful in allowing me to taste different wines before buying. Loved this place, wish i had something like it at home.

“Great Find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

We were shopping in St Jean and stumbled upon Absolutely Wine when the lunch time hunger pains hit. I must say we were pleasantly surprised as none of our party had heard anything (good or bad) prior to our arrival. There were seven of us and we had drinks and shared a few appetizers before ordering. Everything was delicious, the stuffed peppers, tomato tartine, artichokes and fresh bread were gobbled up with nearly a crumb to spare. We enjoyed our lunch following the apps just as much and no one had room for dessert. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful when one of our party became overheated. We were set up in the wine cellar to cool off which did the trick (smelled musty but that is typical) We would definitely eat here again.
